Clinton fucked up....cheated and then lied (as well as a few other indiscretions) Shouldn't we be able to expect meore from our leaders? But he is no longer "in."

When it comes to The current Pres...It amazes me as to how people can still come out to defend this guy?...Even if you are a die hard. Fox watching, Limbaugh licking Republican...Isn't time you said "Enough!!!"  It seems like  every day his leadership and actions have been questionable....from how this war began, to Katrina, to all of the "cover ups."  When is enough...simply enough!!!

There is nothing wrong with having pride in a particular party...But when I see people continually come out and give this guy along with his actions support it becomes mind boggling!...I understand we might be living one of the most politically polarized times...but there is a point where all credibility is lost and it sucks to have to be continually on the defensive.....(Remember how Republicans hated the fact that Democrats would justify Clinton's actions...It's his marriage...It's a private issue....For Christ sake!  The guy stared into a camera and lied to the faces of all Americans!!!)....Why do you want to take the same path...This guy is bad news!!! Why not just admit it and move on so we can find our way out of the shit pile we are currently in?

There *IS* something wrong with being a Neocon Party Whore supporting a Criminal, however.

And if you're supporting Bush after he lied to Congress, then you're supporting a Criminal.

Granted ... but those that are fact based, know that a percentage of accusations against either former President Clinton, or President Bush, are unproven. What is unproven, doesn't exist in their mind (or my mind, if you prefer).

To think any differently, at least in my mind, is to invite all political leaders to a life of fending off endless empty accusation ... those throwing them, hoping they will stick as part of a cynical numbers game.

Better to react to what is certain.

With the current administration, after you throw out what has no factual support, a percentage of the remainder is yet to be determined ... for example, there is still a chance, no matter how remote, that Iraq may turn in our favor. Not likely to be sure, but please forgive us for actually wanting to keep playing until the game is over, so to speak.

I don't think it's support, as much as a realization that this administration will undoubtedly be in place until it's term is over ... so the only smart play, is to let things play out. Tilting at windmills will not make the days go faster.

Certain:

1)No jusification for war as per the rationale originally given by the president to justify action.
2)Everything has been done to discredit or hide information from the U.S. Public from Pat Tillman's demise to the downing of helicopters...It just goes on and on ....and on.

And now we have the Scooter Libby trial going on which focuses  on the Aministration  discrediting Joseph Wilson who reported to the New York Times, after going to Africa on a CIA fact finding mission to verify that Saddam was trying to acquire uranium from Niger,(He should have brought back some subs for Domiguy)....That there were no ties and that they(The Administration) "lied to the American public" to bolster their plans for war and gain support for the action..(Libby trial going on right now) So they released his wife's(Joseph Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame) identity as being an op for the CIA.
3)You call it "playing" and I realize that it is just a phrase...But "real" people are dying and becoming horribly wounded and disabled for a plan that has been criticized by Generals, The Iraq Study Group and countless others....Why continue?....Nothing is going to be solved... and then whomever wins the next election is faced with the daunting task of getting us out of there and bearing all of the heat from this administrations failures.

Here is a quote off of msn.com from today regarding the Libby trial:

“Everything ends up at Dick Cheney’s desk,” Jonathan Turley, a constitutional law specialist at George Washington University, said in an interview with MSNBC-TV. “His right-hand man is indicted; he’s intimately involved in the Niger allegation with weapons of mass destruction; he’s the one that seems to have instructed Libby.
“The biggest question is not whether he will be called as a witness but why he wasn’t a co-conspirator,” Turley added.

When is enough...Enough!!!

You are but a yung pup....And you are entitled to your opinions....However, you become guilty of everything that the Republicans despised about Clinton and all who supported his lack of ethics. (Clinton apologists)

I love this thread

Food for thought - Name a non-controversial President that doesn't/hasn't have the majority mad at them the majority of the time?   I can't   lol

KenDckey:
This would seem to speak directly to your ignorance of both history and english.  Do you read this stuff before you put your name on it?

ROFLMAO @ Thompson

I love the thread and you don't like it.  What is the problem there?   Or you disagree with me that I don't know of a President that achieved the majority support the majority of the time.  So the problem is?   Or you just trying to personally attack me?

Your thread must be subconsciously working on people. I came here early this morning after having been away from the 'puter for 16 hrs and its pretty boring this morning. I think we need to get Lam and Chaingang back in the mix.   ; }

And ... how many minutes are you shaving off this administration's term?

Hey, I have a great idea ... let's escallate the rhetoric so high, that we end up with an anti-Bush in the Whitehouse ... elected not because he or she is a good leader, but because they aren't George Bush.

We can then bitch about them for a few years and scream at the top of our lungs about why we never get any good leadership.

How about we just enforce the LAWS, and hold Bush, Cheney, Rice et. al. responsible for their CRIMES, and just don't let the next officeholder get away with so much before holding them responsible for obedience to the law?

Caitlyn, you forgot "Global Warming".
For proponents of that "Global Warming" it's like a secular religion to them.
Some of them recently said that , "Global Warming" *"Non Believers"* are like Holocaust Deniers."
Can you say, "Jihad?"
And for us "Infidels" anytime we say anything that goes against the company line the "Global Warming" Taliban jump right down our throats. Very open minded people they.
