MistressJude -> RE: The Best Intro you've encountered from a slave (4/1/2005 6:12:46 PM)

To beat a dead horse - spelling and grammar are my BIGGEST pet peeves. While I'm not perfect and make my own mistakes I can understand minor ones from others. But when I see the same words consistently spelled incorrectly or the whole letter is littered with mistakes it becomes an eye sore and headache. Spell check features are everywhere these days, even for those overseas. With that said I'll just state the key points that I look for in a well written letter. DO NOT COPY YOUR PROFILE! Sorry, but I just had to get that out. I'm so incredibly tired of getting an email that seems somewhat interesting only to discover it's their bloody profile! If you can't take the time to send something even remotely personalized, then don't expect me to take any time on you (generic you). I operate on the basic principle that you (generic) are not my slave/sub just because you emailed me so I don't want a groveling mass of filler and one sentence of who you are. Further, I can't stand "role play" in emails. Don't tell me you're kneeling and waiting, or bowing and leaving. If I want RPG I'll join a group for it. Further, I'm rather bothered by the laundry list of things the sub wants and needs. While any potential relationship must discuss these matters do NOT come at me (especially in an introduction) with what YOU want and how I can give it to you. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way - at least not with me. Tell me your age, any special skills you have, if your employed or go to school. Tell me if you like to read (if so, what), listen to music (what kind), if you like to travel, or if you're a homebody. BDSM interests are a dime a dozen but YOU are different - I want to know what those things are that make you different and why you should stand out among all others. That's my 50 cents (since this post was a bit long).
