My owner does not love me, he cares for me though. I'm important to him and he enjoys owning me. I'm deeply and madly in love with this man. He is not ambivalent about my feelings for him and believes they are totally natutal in the type of relationship we have. There was no way I could of known 7 years ago that he was never going to fall in love with me in a romantic way, he had no idea, how could anyone know for certain? I am as bound to him as I would be otherwise but I still do wish he did love me in a romantic/conventional love a woman way but he doesn't and I can't make him. Leaving this Godsend of a man who takes such good care of me over this to go out and find a man who might *love* me but not treat me as well or provide for me and my son as well...no way..I'd have to be a fool. I don't think I have ever known an owner who didn't like or care about his property, I have known several who did not have a conventional lover/mate relationship with their property but they did care for them and I assume you are not referring to that type but to some who don't even like or care about the person serving them? I have never known one like that. quote:
ORIGINAL: losttreasure I did not wish to hijack the thread that prompted this question, What Binds You The Most?, but the answers I saw there made me curious. It appeared as if the majority of subs and slaves were quick to answer that it is the love or similar emotions they feel that binds them to their dominant. But I wonder what the answers would be if the dominant did not in some way share that bond (assuming that they do)? Would you be as bound to your dominant if he or she did not have an emotional investment in you? If they viewed their ownership of you as a purely unemotional relationship and one where you should serve because it is both your place and your agreement? If he or she was ambivalent about whether you love or have any emotional attachment to them, just as long as you abide by your agreement and serve them obediently?
