ORIGINAL: farglebargle They stopped being relevant musicians because they suck They stopped being relevant to whom? I just bought several old Sting CDs on ebay. Relevant to the people in the Music Business more concerned with the Music, rather than the Business. You know that Sting didn't get any money from your re-purchase of those used CDs? quote:

e.g.: The Stones. Post "Some Girls" WTF have they done worthwhile? I liked th Stones when Jagger was hot (about 20years ago), but I still don't wish 'em a painful death. Neither do I. quote:

The music BUSINESS will try to resell the same crap as often as possible What's it to you if people buy the same old crap? I actually like the older crap over the new one. I haven't fallen in love with a new song in years. Perhaps it's because the Music Business isn't presenting you with GOOD music? quote:
Now, as a Nixon-Hater, the idea of Killing rock stars is disgusting, but they really shouldn't be allowed out on tour Why not? If people want to see them, and are willing to pay, what could possibly be the harm? They're being abused by their record companies. Ever read Steve Albini or Courtney Love's deconstruction of the finance involved. Here's quick summary. You make more money working at Taco Bell, than you do with a record company, BUT the record company makes MILLIONS off your product. Hey, the CASINO 'N' CORNDOG circuit needs acts, too. And that's right were most of these acts belong.
