I can't remember if I bragged here or not about the fact that I'd be getting my tattoo soon.

If I didn't, well, I got it.

I'm so pleased I feel the need to share pictures with everyone and their brothers.

See, see see!!

and another one!

Done at Icon Tattoo in Davis, Ca. I'd recomend them to anyone. He was super nice, especially considering how nervous I was.

(And yes, it's deliberatly skewed. Standing it straight up and down made it look more like a star than I wanted. i was going for a sun-like effect. I wanted something this permanant to be fun. I like that it makes people...confused. Too, it's not like anything I've ever done is precisely straight, anyway.)

Did you have the idea for the artwork or was it something that the tattoo parlor had in a book?

I'm not a big fan of flash. It was conceptualized by me, excectued by a friend. I'd been tossing around my idea for serveral years and he was able to put it all together the way I wanted.

It's very beautiful. I have a friend who would adore it. She enjoys the celtic knotwork type of stuff... so that would be right up her alley.
