I thought I had found a sub for myself, she lived within driving distance and thought was mutually compatiable, I even drove her to a dentist so she could finnish having her teeth removed.  All within a weeks time, got to know her and her daughter. Rented a room from her Landlady (she lives above her) we went out on a double date with her daughter and boyfriend.  We just clicked or so I thought.
Well, two days before Valentine's she tells me she can't sub for me anymore.
and I had ordered her favorite flowers, and had Big Special plans for both her and her daughter.
So... I'm just sitting here lonely even more now. And it's Valentine's Day!!  Arghhhhh!!!

Looks like you didn't get to know her in that weeks time as well as you thought you did. I've known Michael for 13 years and he still surprises me with things that I didn't know about him. I admit, sometimes I'm slow.

Sorry for the hurt, but maybe take a bit more time with the next one and let things develop rather than be in such a rush. Getting to 'know' someone takes longer than a week .. it takes a lifetime and then you're lucky if you've scratched the surface of another.

I am sorry that  really sucks.....As others have stated, it takes time to get to know someone, take things  slow and go from there with the next one.  On a side note take the flowers and give them to someone else, random acts of kindness from strangers are always nice.
