In general I don't refer to myself in third person. For the reasons you mentioned, but also because I find it very poor english. How ever, sometimes my Sir tells me to do so, as a part of humilliation. Which gets me creaming every time. If it pleases him, I do it. Simple as that.

Why refer to yourself as "this one", as if you aren't that important in life?

I think it developed as slaves are not to be focused on self.
It's about losing the big I self image, and being absorbed into your Master. It's a show of respect for your owner to write without being able to have your identity as an individual in your words.
Honestly, I don't need a speech pattern to remind me that I belong to him.

I've always viewed the third person, "girl" and "A/all" as affectations to show other people that they're the ultimate submisive. "Look, I've given up my self identity! I'm the best sub, ever!" (just my view, folks)

Bottom line, they're just words. Your speech pattern means nothing. Ultimately, your actions will always speak louder than words.

My slave, when given the option, chose to refer to himself as "your boy" because, as he says, he likes the verbal reminder that he IS my boy.  Using the third person is definitely not for everyone, and he's the only slave I have had who used the third person.

I, myself, used to see it as something that should never be done, but it makes him happy, and hearing him be so proud of being mine makes me enjoy hearing it from him.  Would I want all of my slaves doing it?  No!  It depends on the slave.
