Well, I don't know about it going "main-stream" (all the non-BDSM people I mention the subject to are either repulsed or weirded out), but I know the reasons I love it are the same most have mentioned: It's a simple but profound act of submission, it's very sensual, and can be very dirty and nasty, all at the same time.

Do most guys masterbate during their first time painful experience, or more after they have been broken in?

Painful? Anal sex shouldn't really be painful. You take your time and use lots of lube and patience and let the receiver relax properly  and it's just wonderful.

Wow, check out the local Barnes & Noble or other big bookstore, there's like half a dozen books from "Anal Health and Pleasure" to "Bend Over Boyfriend" lined up in a neat row.

I agree with what several others have said - strap-on action is more prevalent because we're more open about sex as a society now and people are more likely to discuss what they want to try. And anal sex is no longer equivalent to gay sex for most people... it's just another selection on the sexual "menu".

I've been really pleased the last few years by the increasing availability of strap-ons that are designed to provide clitorial stimulation and/or reciprocal penetration for a woman wearing the strap-on.  The Feeldoe and Nexus are very nice, and there are a couple of others that are similarly designed.

Greetings,

I enjoy strap-on play but do find it a bit more intimate than say ... flogging.  For me, it is a great deal about power.  Strange how you can feel so powerful with a great big hunk of latex strapped to your pelvis - lol.

As for my harnes ... I use a vac-u-loc.  This harness has two insertables for the wearer and a small slit above the clit for a vibrating egg.  The harness comes with a plug where you attach the external devices.  I really like this feature because it allows me to have my partners buy their own attachments in whatever size or vibrator/non-vibrator option they desire and I always know they are going to fit.

The only bad part is that I'm usually so turned on by wearing the damn thing that two thrusts and I'm done - lol.  It's a good thing that women don't require the recovery time that men do - lol.

Though I don't think strap-on play is becoming more main stream, I do think there is a greater awareness of it.  Gone are the days when the average Canadian thought sex was all missionary and all in the dark.  Just because folks know about such things as strap-on play, fisting, bdsm, etc does not mean that they have 'accepted' it.

Wickad

PS - 'Anal Pleasure and Health' is a great book, though a bit dry

is strapon fucking a sub-male like a prelude to male-chastity?

They also sell Dungeons & Dragons guides and foreign films. That doesn't mean they're mainstream, just that the company's appealing to a niche market. Like Wickad said, awareness does not equal acceptance.
