I am planning to learn how to trim hair inside the nostrils.

;-)

Joking aside, a domme and I have been discussing a vacation servant scenario (to meet her at a vacation resort and serve as a servant or valet). The idea stemmed from a discussion about the trip Severin took in Venus in Furs, and a related mini-experience we had.

Thank you for the compliment. My avatar pales in comparison to yours ;-)

We have not yet picked the location. She lives in the Northeast, and has been wanting to go to a resort to escape the cold. She asked if I would accompany her as a servant. I immediately grabbed my keys and ran out the door, asking her where I should go ;-)

Amongst the places we discussed are Florida, Texas, and the Carribean.

The lovely feet belong to the top of a lesbian couple in a nearby city whom I serve off and on. The photo is at the end of a pedicure. I joke about how I am going to get a light plastic bowl of each chips and salsa, and learn to balance them on the rim of the sombrero--that way I can be the walking serving tray! Of course, to serve the chips, I would have to drop to a knee ;-)

Thus far, we have discussed travel logistics, and general dynamic issues. One issue is that given we will be in the general public, how will we handle the dynamic when in public. We once had an experience where an onlooker might have sensed there was something unusual but the dynamic was too subtle to be thought of as BDSM. One idea we have discussed is to dress and interact where people might assume me to be a hired assistant. This idea was driven by an experience we had, and an ensuing discussion about Severin's trip as a servant in the book Venus in Furs.

The other issue is what it would be like to be in a formal dynamic the entire time. Thus far, we have visited in casual dynamics with some D/s overtones. The idea we are discussing there is to define protocol levels, and shift between protocol levels as appropriate.

I think it will be tremendous fun for each of us.

The pedicure of the avatar photo went well, and I thank you for the compliments :)

A sub, for me, doing service oriented chores is a huge turn on,,, Walking in the front door, with a special bottle of wine, only to find your sub was doing chores and now awaiting her domme , on her knees. What a wonderful thought!!!! I think though, that a domme should recognize when their sub needs to feel useful and give her/him something to do to help quench the craving and this will help the flow of the relationship i think, and it is in both parties hands to recognize what the relationship needs, together. Anything from getting her a coffee to cleaning the bathroom would work and just remember act joyful whenever you get to do a service and tell her often how it makes you feel.

I agree that a service relationship flows best when both parties play an active role towards the service, and that it is a good idea for the sub to articulate what feelings providing service brings.

A good idea for service is what ever the Dominant wants or needs in their life. Since that will vary from person to person, there is no way to really list all the things you could do to improve the Dominant's life. When you have a Dominant, focus on that person. Pay attention to what they do and what you can take over for them. Do they have a cat? Do the catbox. Do they hate to shop but love to cook? Go buy some neat ingredients for them. Be mindful of your Dominant and you will learn how best to serve them.

Now, if you're asking what you can pre learn to be of use to a Dominant, go for cooking or massage classes. There is a book, Training With Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and Their Owners which has been republished as part of Erotic Slavehood: A Miss Abernathy Omnibus that has ideas on preparing for service. You may find it helpful.
