I have just recently joined this forum. I live on the CT/NY border, and am looking for groups, munches and just general get togethers. Information, greatly appreciated.

Jamila, welcome to Collarme. The people here are absolutely awesome, and the message boards are highly informative (if a bit opinionated). As for finding local groups/munchs you might consider looking at the list on Caryl's Page. She has the most extensive listing I have seen for my state and I have heard good things about other states as well. (After you open her website, click on "Meet People" to get the state by state lists)

There are a number of munches and groups in NY and CT. You should also check the forums for events.
