Hmm never heard of tattoo Goo erin, but just looked it up.. very interesting, and no lanolin or petrolatum either.
http://www.tattoogoo.com/

May need to get some of that. One day of antibiotic and 2-3 weeks of moisturizing cream, though effective... isn't quite itch free :)

Sterlingsweet; Prep H has petrolatum, which is the same greasy protectant in Neosporin. That's why it should only be used for a day, the wound needs to breath to heal.

There are so many different healing remedies for tats.. but I am intrigued by this tattooogoo especially for when I start my back piece.

Thnx...

I think you will be very impressed. It comes in two forms, one is a hard and almost wax-like that you rub and apply a very thin coat. My guy had me use that the first week. Then it comes in a lotion that I used after that. Very moisturizing and light. I want to say that they were about $5 a piece, but there is enough in each container to last through several tattoos and mine were good size.

i could never sit still that long *LOL*

i know where i am going to get my tattoo, is the same place i got my nipples pierced. i really checked them out good before i got my nipples done *smiles* so i guess i can trust them with this also.

i am going to look around some for a purple rose, i think i like that. i posted once before the meaning of the purple rose and that is why i always use purple font. (silly i know) "The specific purpose of purple roses is to signify that the giver has fallen in love with the recipient at first sight. " Now if i could only find him!! [:D]

Hugs!

LOL..Shifted was the worst..she actually fell asleep when getting a couple of them done. Nothing that will get a tat artist laughing like hearing a snore..lmao.

HA! I fell asleep getting my largest one. He was PUSHING some ink into that thing and when I woke up I was a tad nauseated. I figured it was the endorphins.

Hehhehe. I very nearly fell asleep too, on the first endorphin let-down. Mine rose and fell a couple times.

Of course, then he started filling in the center. That kept me awake.

[:@] INK IS SO ADDICTING, BUT WITH EVERYTHING IT CAN BE CONTROLLED. I HAVE USED BAG BALM ON 3 OF 5 OF MY TATS AND THEY HEALED IN A WEEK, (IT STINKS AND STAINS) BUT IT WORKS SO FAST. MY BACK IS OF COURSE DRAGONWINGS (THEY START AT THE SHOULDER AND END AT THE WAIST) WITH A BIO SPINE PIECE

Hello Mod5,
That is what I was given and the lotiony(word?) PrepH kind worked really well, it wasn't greasy,
kind of absorbed right in, just kept it moist so it didn't form scabs or itch. And that is why the importance of after 2 days or so to start decreasing the times you apply it.

The Tattoo Goo, sounds like a great product Erin, I will try that next time. Thanks.
