I doubted the "loose brain cell theory" I have actually studied neurophysiology quite a bit, pahunkboy, and most of what I have read about brain cells reproducing, etc, has had somewhat of a "we dont think they do" kind of aspect to them. Whether or not your brain will grow new cells, the reality is twofold. 1) you have far more brain cells than you will ever use in your life. 2) What determines intelligence is not the number of brain cells, it is the number of connections in the neural net. For those recovering from a brain injury, you have about 2 years to get things working again, after which, the human brain doesnt really recover much. Sinergy p.s. on a related note, read to your infant children, give them toys to expand their mind, because the infant brain makes connections thousands of times faster and more often than the adult brain.
