ORIGINAL: sensualmagirl Ouch... I'm sorry, I feel for you, I tend to get ear infections a lot now... I never had them as a child, but, as an adult it started. I had an ear and sinus infection back at Christmas/New Years. However, I didn't have to go through a battery of tests, my doctor (actually, Nurse Practitioner) looked in my ears and down my throat and agreed... gave me antibiotics and a prescription for nasal spray. I am sick (again) now, with a sinus infection (again) and bronchitis. I went yeterday, especially since I felt the ears starting to bother me. She looked, poked around, listened, etc, etc, and could see I was having the infection, gave me antibiotics and prescription-strength cough syrup. So, if I'm really sick, I have not had a problem. I'm wondering if maybe it's your doctor? Is he/she a new doctor to you? Do they know you have a history of this? What kinds of tests, or is it just you have to pay a visit to them? edited to add: I hope you get better soon. Ear Infections are a pain -- literally and figuratively. I think it is my DR. A mother/father team. Called him on his cell. Mentioned medicareisnt going to pay for endles testing, he said sure they will. Your story is alot like mine. I never got them as a child. Now I get them. When one is sick one doesnt wish to set in a waiting room for 2+ hours- then jump thru test hoops- not when this is the 4th time of the same ailment! Anyhow I fell asleep. Missed that appointment. I wish my accupupuncurist was nearby. anitbitics 17 yrs old. would they work?
