the course of a month.Would it be a good idea,and would it work do you think,if such a system was introduced onto Collarme.com?I personally think such a system as explained above is long overdue,but what does everyonelse think about this please.

Why does it matter how many people have looked at your profile? That has nothing to do with the amount of attention you actualy get, the number of interested parties or the number of actual useful emails you have. All it would do is give someone a new reason to come into the forums and complain that they arent getting enough hits and wondeing how to get more. Besides, the way the site is set up, you wil get an increase in views juts by logging on and being first on someones search page with a photo, even if they have no interest in viewing your profile. It would be a useless concept for this site, since the information it would gather would not record anything actually helpful to anyone.

I tend to agree with DV, the fact that when you sign on, you are put at the top of the list on the first page, and a lot of people look and also troll from that page. I personally do not care how many look at my profile, this is not a popularity contest for me personally..and what would it mean if the same person wanted to fuck with your brain and kept going in and out of your profile? You would have a bazillion hits and nothing to show for it in the way of contact. I also think there are probably (just guessing) more things in the works for users, after all, collarme is here for us, and would imagine that the items in the works will be much more popularly received and has been asked for from users longer. I don't know if anyone noticed, but on your account you now have the choice to disable chat requests. I think that is a pretty cool feature myself.

Some of the vanilla dating sites let you actually see who looks at your profile. It really means nothing. Any Joe or Jane Schmoe can browse profiles and forget them in the next second. It's the ones who actually show interest in it by emailing that count.

It’s too resource heavy maybe. Think how many people are on this site and how many records would have to be kept for what you ask. A profile isn’t a person when did people start thinking it was? I think you only get to know people from talking with them. I’ve never read a profile that said this user is a total prick but I’ve met many such pricks, strange that isn’t it? My point is anyone can write a good profile, it’s a good starting point but that’s all. So maybe your time should be focused towards conversation rather than wondering how many are looking at your advert. Your mail box is empty I gather, you are free to make the first move.

For what purpose? I mean, I truly don't understand why someone would want to know how many random hits there were to their profile. If someone is browsing, they may pull up your profile and then skip quickly past it, so what's the point? Is it going to make you feel better to know 1000 people looked at your profile but no one actually was intrigued enough to write to you?

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me and I can't get past the issue that it just seems so pointless. I suppose as soon as you can explain the actual purpose of such a program, maybe I can see why you think it's so long over due.

Doesn't matter to me either way. I'm not that interested in how many people view my profile, I am only interested in finding that one special submissive to share my life with. I'll take quality over quantity any day. However, if Collarme wanted to introduce that feature, it wouldn't bother me.

On one of the other sites, you can see who viewed your profile (unless the person elected to view profiles privately). 90% of the people who view my profile are not at all what I am looking for. I have male dominants, men young enough to be my son, people from overseas, female slaves, etc., viewing the profile, and none of them would be a match anyway. The fact that these people viewed my profile and bumped up my number of views doesn't do a thing for me.

Ok, apart from the people being assholes, just for the sake of being assholes to this guy.

There is a very good reason for measuring hits. I have been a webmaster for a long time and the single most important statistic you rely on is hits. Of course as a webmaster you have far more detailed analysis of the traffic, but the basic idea is the same.

This would help those that are seeking. If they find out they are receiving significant traffic to their profile, but they are not receiving any responses, they can then analyze their profile and find out where it is lacking. Then they can reanalyze the new statistics and find out if their ratio of hits to responses increases based upon the improvements.

It would definitely be a valuable tool to the active seeker.

Personally I do not care, but then again I am not seeking either.

Meah. I don't care one way or the other. If someone interests me, I send them a note. Vice versa. However, I am not looking (well, I do look at pics...

). For those of you who are, I still don't see what difference it makes. If no one is contacting you, then obviously there is something not right/interesting/whatever on your profile. Why would you need a counter to tell you this?
