FragileRose -> D/s, Love, and Marriage (3/15/2005 4:54:37 PM)

I would like to hear from those in a D/s relationship that are in a monogamous marriage with your D/s partner. Anything you are wlling to share - how you met, how long married, the way your D/s relationship fuses with your marriage and so on. I see the word "property" used on this Board from time to time - do you view yourself or your partner as property or as a life partner - or both - or do you have other ways of talking about how you and your D/s partner relate?

My marriage is monogamous and we feel like that is very important for us to be intimate. He is my life partner and I can't give 100% to more than one person. He wouldn't want to share either. Our marriage is like any other vanilla marriage where we have everyday responsibilities. When we are alone at night is when we can play and that is okay with us because we have a child. I totally feel at peace with my partner. I do not feel like property, I feel cherished. Everyone has different ways they interact in this lifestyle and this is what works for us.

Angel has been with Demon, married 16 yrs this year. Although we have been friends longer. D/s works within our relationship and we have learnt together. It has taken all those years, and the years to come, to realise what have together. I wear both a wedding band and a collar. He is my rock and foundation. I am (as He calls me) His support. Nothing else is needed.

We live life exactly how He wishes, Dominants and submissive (24/7 some will call it) We have two children who are aware of who and what we are, and who and what each friend of ours is. They are raised to believe in themselves, to have self respect, to accept others beliefs as an individuals beliefs(which means they have their own) and Lifestyles and to be responsible for themselves.

Doesn't mean they don't argue at times. Lol... they are children after all![:D]

But they do have their own minds.

Am I my Masters property? Am I His life partner? Labels are irrelevant, they do not work for Master and I.
I am, whatever He desires. When asked the above, He responds:

She is herself, which is part of me.

Peace and Love
