The first time for me was when Master and i spent a long weekend together and i was told i had to ask permission to use the bathroom and that i had to leave the door open. Ahhhhhhhhh! Talk about embarrassing! [sm=hewah.gif] It was so hard for me, but i did it and as time went on it became easier and easier.

Interesting thread- i am learning (sometimes the hard way) that submission isn't the play, the spankings or even sex but making Her happy with even the simplist of chores. coming home after work and taking my "down time" and relaxing because it is what She wants me to do.yes sometimes the chores and service aren't pleasant or exciting ,BUT it is what She has asked me to do. The rewards from this can be simply being allowed to sit at Her feet and feeling close. i am finding great pleasure in the service, be it a small task , in knowing that i am a learning patience and will be rewarded with my good behavior. i treasure Her everyday as She treasures my submission . yourgrrl

It's interesting to see how others feel about such things, Me I leave the bathroom open all the time, and I actually request that James comes in with me. I am not bathroom shy at all. Hello. =) Chores and such were no big deal for me, since I'm a stay at home mom in the first place. =) My first real sense of submission was when the Mister decided he was going to buy decorate the bedroom in Denver Broncos colors. <gulp> Having control over the little details of home decor was something I always took for granted, so it was a bit of a shock, lol. Don't be so hard on yourself. =) It's natural to feel some dissapointment when you were expecting fun and got chores instead. The important thing is that you did what was required, and even turned it into a growth experience. Cheers, Stella

When i had my first child, which was before i even knew there was a lifestyle. Oh, and by the way, before being accepted into training, i had to do a report too. But mine was actually lifestyle related in that i had to go to various sites that He gave me to read, then write out a two page report on my needs, expectations, limits and in detail explain them all.

First realized when I was a sub of a Master who already had an Alpha. I realized a lot then. Then I met Mistress. Submission is much more beautiful now.

My favorite thing use to be getting my "to do" list in the mornings. There were always things on it I really didn't want to do, but I always had to smile as I checked each one off, knowing He would be very pleased. rayn

I learned this shortly after re-entering the local scene after a few years absence. At one point, I ended up hanging out with a D/S household and seeing the day to day specifics of what they did and how people reacted to each other under that dynamic. It was ... interesting. There are some people who might be appalled to learn that this particular kinky family was my introduction to 24/7 dominance and submission, but I got to see the good and the bad from a fairly safe distance and realize that pretty much any group of people I knew in the scene probably had these exact same issues come up and their own ways of dealing with them. I got a good look at a reality before I went back to playing in ernest, and I'm glad that I did. This made situations like being assigned the homework of shining Daddy's boots, writing book reports, having him influence my work-drag clothing purchases, stitching up the close he'd cut off of me the weekend before and the like seem rather normal than a bit of a shock.
