It makes no sense that someone who is monogamous would attack me over the concern of sexual safety. Normally if someone gets that defensive it means they engage in it themselves.

Actually monogamony isn't safer unless you always use condoms. You have to trust the other person to be clean and honest with you.

Oh good God have you learnt nothing. I attacked you because you posted something that was complete rubbish. I am strictly monogamous but my partner is not. But that has nothing to do with my knowledge of safe sex practices. My knowledge comes from the fact that I believe it is important to understand issues such as that. I have read lots of information about bird flu but that does not make me a fucking bird.

How can I possibly be wrong about there being two definitions for straight? If I was wrong I wouldn't see it happen on tv all the time or hear from friends that they know someone it happened to.

We've been over this. The TV says you are wrong except for the fundie religious programs. Webster says you are wrong. Pyschology and all the nice, intelligent, educated people who study sex and sexuality say you are wrong. Most of the wonderful people in this forum think you are wrong. In fact, the only mainstream people who agree with you are the ones who think you are going to hell for being interested in BDSM. You've already said you live in a real backwards community where you are scared to stand up for homosexuals because they will beat you up. Having said this, why on earth do you believe THEM about bisexuals and homosexuals?

Now please answer this: If sexuality has anything to do with cheating, why do heterosexuals cheat?

defiantbadgirl -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:02:15 PM)

It is not complete rubbish that most people who say they practice safe sex don't practice safe oral sex. I lost count of the number of guys I talked to who said they always wore condoms during sex, but had never worn one during oral sex.

Yes. And remember we gave you a bunch of stats to prove that it's a calculated risk. Just like walking out your front door you are taking a calculated risk that you won't be raped and murdered. It's all in what you are willing to risk and hardly your place to call them unsafe when it's hardly worth worrying about - provided you know your partner and their track record, and you trust them.

I could be wrong but I don't think Jerry Springer is an authority in which to rely.

defiantbadgirl -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:09:59 PM)

Maury and Springer are not religious programs. Guest confesses to straight partner they had sexual relations with someone of the same gender. Straight partner feels they were deceived about sexual orientation. When it comes time for audience to comment, person is told they are bisexual not straight.......whole audience seems to agree.

Would it not make more sense to shoot someone else? That would leave the normal well adjusted people alive to continue posting.

Maury and Springer also deal with the trashiest of the white trash. We are talking about uneducated, ignorant idiots who think the best way the tell their partner anything bad is on national TV. If you base your opinion on that, I'm sorry I'm simply can not respect it as valid. That's the same as asking your lovely friends who call homosexuals "fags" for the truth on homosexuals.

Most of the time they are talking about cheating. It's a despicable practice and guess what? It's practiced evenly by homosexuals, bisexuals and heterosexuals.

Why don't you try leaving your comfort zone and attend a PRIDE march? We're exactly the same as you. We have the same number of assholes. The difference is that you don't blame all the heterosexuals for the practice of a het asshole.

Edited to add: Actually Maury can be pretty cool. But come on DBG, Springer is trying to find the worst, least educated and most prejuiced people he can find! You want to base your opinions of mainstream opinion on that? Jesus, it's a show where the female audience jump and down to show their "Jerry beans" and flash cameras.

FukinTroll -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:17:53 PM)

Not to mention it is scripted.

defiantbadgirl -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:18:57 PM)

Why is it that until now, every person I have talked to about sexual orientation thinks that straight refers to both preference and act? I told several people about this thread and they even think someone who engages in bisexual acts (outside of one time experimentation) is bisexual. I talked to a sub last night who left his mistress when she expected him to engage in bisexual acts because he's straight.

Sometimes you have to make a statment. I don't think it took... but hey.

kc692 -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:20:15 PM)

**Looks in amazed** So now we are measuring our ideals against Springer?  Oh boy...... cuz we KNOW that is what America is like...

edited to add: I JUST gotta say this.....what kind of dinglenut does it take, even if they don't watch Springer, to know that if anyone they know says, "Hey, I have something to tell you...come on Springer and let me tell ya what it is..."  how come even those idiots don't know something is amiss???

Who have you been talking to? It matters.

If you've been talking to the sort of people who go Jerry Springer, I really don't care. What is their education and what is their experience with homosexuality? Are they bisexual?

I think a sub leaving a mistress because she wants him to commit bisexual acts is prefectly valid. However, that doesn't mean that a straight person won't submit to bisexual acts to please their master/mistress and this submission doesn't makes them any less straight.

Need I say more?

defiantbadgirl -> RE: honesty about sexual orientation (2/21/2007 11:23:56 PM)

I had learned the most common definition of straight before the Jerry Springer show even existed.

You gave us TV as your backup for your defination. We've just proven that TV doesn't back up your defination, except in the case of the least educated and most bigoted. What does this lead us to conclude?

Probably because the ones who are members are afraid of being attacked.  And not every friend I've ever had is a member of this site.
