Do You derive satisfaction from beating a slave/sub? If so, how would You characterise that satisfaction? But, it does turn me on...a lot. Usually, it's a much more complex emotional/spiritual thing for me if I'm connected to the sub. I am a stoic type personality myself and just grin and bear it. You are saying that you would prefer to hear screams or moans, correct? I bet my Mistress would like that better too. Yep. I enjoy beating a sub/slave. For me, it's the adrenaline rush, plus a power/energy thing. Sexually, it turns me on quite a bit, but more in the mental sense than the physical, if you get my drift. I'd say 95% mental and 5% physical overall. I'm with Master Fire on this one....Reaction. I would grow terribly bored with a bottom/sub/slave that never did or said anything during a beating. That body language and verbalization is a very important part of the energy exchange for me. Thanks to All Respondents. If i may be permitted to ask a supplementary question, do You derive Your principal (or indeed any) satisfaction from the amount of pain a sub/slave is prepared to take for You? i am assuming that You want a reaction to know that he or She is feeling pain. i see my desire to be beaten by my Mistress as an intense physical expression of my submission to Her. If She does not enjoy beating me, the act has no meaning for me. Would You say the inverse is true for You, i.e. the beating is an expression of Your domination and You want the slave to willingly suffer to please You?

For me, mother nature has short circuited the boundary between pain cries and erotic cries. Screams, shrieks, whimpers, moans, crying and such physically arouse me. Because of this, I'm with Fire on needing response to my work on the sub. Since I was discovered to have sadistic tendencies as a child and "fixed," for me to truly get off on some one's suffering it has to be consensual and they need to enjoy it, on some level, also. I can achieve orgasm by beating a masochist who can take a high level of pain, vocally enjoy it, express how much it hurts, and beg for more. While the mental rush of having someone take as much for me as they can because they love me or wish to serve me is awesome, without the erotic component I'd not bother with the more extreme play.
