Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am buying a present for someone.

You are very very welcome, I'm sure they will love it.

Another great author is Laurell K. Hamilton. She does Vampire, novels..... but they have a little everything in them....S&M Ds kinda cool!!!! I'm reading the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series, right now.

Take care,

Temptestspet is right.

Anne Rice is good. Her Beauty trilogy's wonderful.

LKH is mindblowing. Check out her Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. I love her vamps too.

I loved that book series. I was disapointed at how soft and mushy she got at the end. I have not checked out the newest one to come out but may sometime.

The love triangle between the head vampire and her wolf bf was hot and at times funny as well:)

Tempestspet -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/1/2005 3:15:32 PM)

It did get a little mushy here and there.... but I love 'em...smiles...

Shymissa -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/5/2005 3:13:33 AM)

If you are reading Anne Rice you should probably just hang yourself or have another twinkie...I mean honestly there is no chance of you contributing anything and the chance that you are een human in apperaance is kind of slim. Anne Rice novels are to literature what Jerry Springer is toShakespear..gah the dumbing down of america is so depressing

LMAO! Come on, don't be shy, tell us how you really feel. I mean seriously, no one is comparing Anne Rice's books to the works of Shakespeare but I think you might be judging a little harshly, don't you? Escapist fiction is harmless as an evening's diversion. No one claimed that pop culture was anything other than entertainment.

G'morning all:

Take a look @ "Shymissa" 's profile. I think that in of itself speaks louder volumes than her post. To say nothing of her poor English skills. Grammar & spelling definitely count for something. She'll grow up one day..... just not anytime soon apparently.

I do have a decided preference for A.R.'s vamp novels over her erotica.

Stay safe all, play nice, & share your toys w/ others....

siamsa24 -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/5/2005 7:41:26 AM)

Personally, I still love The Witching Hour and Lasher, they are more my type of book. I wish there were more books in that series.
Has anyone else read these? Are her other books similar?

And I disagree with Shymissa's profile, I am the most interesting woman you will ever meet [:D]

Well, you didn't really expect to come into a thread of Anne Rice fans, insult her work and then just walk away did you?

Hehe, welcome to the boards [:)]

Shymissa -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/6/2005 12:42:17 AM)

Okay that quoting thing so didnt work...how lame...whatever

siamsa24 -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/6/2005 5:46:18 AM)

It did work, you just have to have the [ /quote] in the begining of what you want to quote and the [ quote] (without the spaces of course). Put whatever you wanted to say either before or after the quote that you make (after the second [ quote])
I hope this makes sense, my brian is fried from too much thesis......

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/11/2005 12:30:01 AM)

No Sia I am the most interesting woman you will ever meet LOL

GPA's don't have any concurency on manners, Which shymissa lacks in severly. She even says the quote feature doesn't work and is lame and it was her own mistake which made it not work.

MsMacComb -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/11/2005 1:06:04 AM)

I read her whole Beauty series several years ago and appreciated it for what it was. Some was not to my tastes but for anyone that has not read them, they are a good winter project. A fire, glass of wine ( or brandy) and a cozy blanket and favorite chair. I saw winter as during summer you should be getting your little butt outside and doing something (or someone) in the sunshine. :)

Shymissa -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/11/2005 1:32:00 AM)

I forgot how sensitive fat people were...forgive me...anne rice is great...now please dont eat me!

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Anne Rice fans....a question (4/11/2005 2:14:28 AM)

MsM Yeah it's far to nice to spend summer inside. I used togo outside and read, I enjoyed it my dog enjoyed it because he could be by my chair or bugging me to play ball LOL. Reading when I am comfy makes me sleepy, IF I read in bed or in a good chair I start to nod.

Can we call it a tie? LOL

I try to read for fun whenever I can, but I have the same problem as you Feline, I fall alsleep. Sometimes it's nice to fall asleep in front of the fire or out in the sunshine and then wake up with one of my favorite books in my hand. Then I have something to do when I wake up [:)]
