sissyamanda4u -> Embarrassment at CVS... (2/20/2007 9:28:39 PM)

I know this probably sounds tame with some of the threads I've read on here but I had quite a humiliating experience at CVS yesterday.

After disobeying my domme she ordered me to purchase a pair of black pantyhose.  Not wanting to make it a big thing, I went into a local CVS and quickly picked up a Queen size package and brought it to the register.

When I handed them to the cashier, she looked at them, then up at me and just bursted into laughter.  I must have turned SOOOO red!!  I didn't even know what to say so I just kind of pretended to laugh with her.  I'm fairly sure that when I left I saw her telling a co-worker and giggling at me!

I've bought girlie stuff before (bras, panties, etc) but this is the first time I've had someone laugh at me...it was soooo embarrassing!

well, that was rude of her! good grief.!

obis -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/20/2007 9:37:44 PM)

That's pretty strange, I've bought lots of "feminine" stuff before for girlfriends and such. I would think a guy running in to buy tampons or pantyhose at the convenience store would be a pretty common occurrence these days.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/20/2007 9:40:55 PM)

Technically, she could be fired for that. She has no place to be making a udgement on what you are buying, especialy in a place like CVS, where people buy embarassing medical and personal hygiene products all the time. I work for Walgreens, and I know if that ever hapened and we were reported, its instant termination. After some of the things Ive seen and heard in my store, a guy buying a pair of pantyhose is nothing. She was terribly in the wrong.
Its not like you announced they were for you, for all she knew you might have been buying them for a wife or girlfriend.  If I were you, Id have reported her to a manager, or written to corporate.  But, since I work for the compattion, its lovely customer service liek that that makes My store so much more popular than theirs.

You know my exhusband would purchase things like this for me without blinking. Tampons, pads, pantyhose, makeup... this is what married men do...lol. So I am thinking it was the energy around you that produced the reaction that you got... seriously, my Daddy plans on purchasing me a cheerleaders uniform at a store near him... I doubt it that he will give a rat's ass if they laughed at him or not...

Nevermind that he purchases KY and enemas at the same time[:D]

porthuronsub -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/20/2007 9:55:25 PM)

what were you wearing?  did you go in a dress?  did you have lipstick on?  j/k

had to ask.

*edited to add*

I also pick up tampons for my Mistress and have picked up panthose for my wife when we were married and she was trying to get ready for the evening and discovered a lack of pantyhose.  I never ran into anything like this.  You must have had an air about you.

I don't suppose you smiled and asked, "What's wrong, honey? Is black not my color?"

HAHA i love it!!

Seriously though, i find that kinda strange. i mean men buy feminine items all the time and usually cashiers could care less because they check items all day long. It had to be a young teeny bopper maybe [:@]

That would have been delicious.

Like the others, I don't see why you were laughed at. Even being the sub in the relationship, sometimes I'm in the middle of getting ready for a formal event and discover I don't have pantyhose/nail polish/it's remover/some other feminine item. Since the options are either A) let me get completely undressed and back into normal clothes, go the CVS and then straight all over or B) Valyraen finishes getting dressed (a process that takes much less time), goes to CVS and gets whatever I need. I've also seen my father buy my mother wanted she needed, be it tampons to pantyhose, and he was never laughed out.

There has got to be something more to this story or you should have reported her to the manager.

i agree with dv. i was humiliated once by a (male) pharmacist when attempting to have a plan b prescription (my only one, ever) filled by walgreens, before it was available otc (i ended up having to go to a different store to get it, but i never reported it, and i should have). it's ridiculous that someone would treat you like that. it's none of their damn business...honestly, it makes me sad that we can't be comfortable shopping for anything personal anymore.

i especially like the suggestion about asking if black's not your color ;)

No I didn't go in lipstick or a dress! ::blushes::

Yeah I don't know why it happened...usually I don't get those types of reactions...guess it was my unlucky day?

sensualmagirl -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 5:27:49 AM)

I've often felt funny buying certain things, but, heck, I didn't even get a second look at the grocery store when I bought condoms, an enema, a douche, batteries, desert and a bottle of champagne all at the same time... LOL

Maybe they just thought "who's the lucky guy" [;)]

Maybe she was laughing because she was thinking you bought the wrong size for your girlfriend/wife (aka the Queen size) or something along those lines. Nonetheless, she shouldn't have laughed.

I would've asked "What's so funny? I need a joke right now".

StellaByStarlite -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 5:37:45 AM)

Hello. =)

Apart from the whole "why did the clerk laugh in the first place" aspect.. which, yeah, that was pretty unprofessional.. was buying the hose a punishment in the first place? You mentioned this happened after disobeying, so I was just wondering. =)

If it were a punishment, then maybe the clerk's laughter was effective.. I mean, how much of a punishment could it be if it were no big deal to stroll into a store and purchase something?

Although I do agree.. pretty odd that she laughed. At that precise time.. when your Mistress ordered you to buy pantyhose. Maybe it was planned, lol. Like a phonecall to the store in question " Hey, a guy is going to come in and buy some pantyhose... make sure it's memorable for him". Unlikely, but hey... ya never know. =)

sissyamanda4u -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 5:39:51 AM)

Well the punishment was to go buy pantyhose and make a video for my Domme...

The reason I was punished is because some female friends of mine had me dress up (and strip down) in slutty clothes and dance for them on my webcam.  My Mistress did not like me doing this without her permission so that's why I was punished.

I guess it is kind of fitting then that I got so embarrassed going through with this for her.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 6:02:02 AM)

Maybe she was laughing because she knew a queen size was wayyy to small for her. [:D] That was rude of her and I am sorry that happened to you. Just buy them at wal mart the next time. Nobody cares there.

lol

i agree with the others - she shouldn't have laughed at you.  i've helped guys who were lost in the "women's" aisle at CVS because they didn't know which brand of pads had the better wings or conuldn't find the tampoons the woman wanted.  i've also seen guys purchasing hosery and lingerie at the department stores too.

BBBTBW -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 7:18:22 AM)

Is it possible that your Mistress set you up for public humiliation?  Could she have known the cashier?  Could she have spoken to her earlier?

MistressSophia -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 7:35:13 AM)

Go back in to the store when she is working. and buy a different color panty hose, tell her the black ones looked to slutty on you. and then leave.. It could be something just came to mind , and she laughed.. Don't make such a big deal out of it. after all it was to be punishment!

littleone35 -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 9:20:55 AM)

That was totally unprofessional and uncalled for.  I used to work at a CVS and i had guys buy pads, tampons, pantyhose and i never thought anything of it.  R\Even if i had thought something was funny about i would have waited until the guy left and then laughed.
Reminds me of when i was working in BK a guy came in and always bought the cheapest thing on the menu.  My boss (a big heavy guy) was in the office swinging a cleaning rag and his hips and singing real softly hey big spender.  It took all the willpower i had not to laugh cause i could see and hear him the guy could not.

Missokyst -> RE: Embarrassment at CVS... (2/21/2007 11:05:02 AM)

I would report her to management immediately.  You would be doing the rest of that stores clientele a great service.  Imagine if it was a young boy running in to get his mom an emergency pair because hers had torn.  Or an old lady going in for sanity pads because she occasionally leaks from the suppositories she must use for dryness.  That cashier showed a customer extreme disrespect by laughing at you.
At best, the store should retrain ALL of their employees in public decorum.  At worst, if she was a repeat offender, she should be canned.
There is no excuse for making a customer feel embarrassed for any purchase.
