Hi,
does someone have an idea what his basic malfunction is?

"Healthcare cost are rising for Americans" well doh dude, if you live here, then I am pretty sure it doesn't matter what nationality you have, it's still plain rising.

And "France & Germany aren't providing help in Iraq", stop whining, they warned the G.W. dude up front, now we fly "heros" that got shot up to Ramstein, Germany to get emergency care. Don't want to Germans to allow that? How about you just leave that country altogether and send back the Statue of Liberty and whilst you on it, rewrite the History of Georgetown - god this nonesense is making me sick. I want Freedom fries back and draw a clear line. We broke it, we better deal with it ourselves.

I'm not really sure I understand the nature of your post? Lou Dobbs is perhaps the only salient /conclusive voice in mainstream news when it comes to the truth that surrounds us. He talks about issues others won't touch. I regard him as a national treasure.

Ranger, I agree.

sorry?
on no subject is he ever objective nor fair. If he thinks that it's fair to bash our allies on the air, then maybe he should have one or two of their representatives respond, perhaps they could ask why our basis are pulluting their environment, perhaps he can explain to our allies why we need to make them look bad in the eyes of Americans and never mention their effort (helping in Afghanistan). Maybe they could take him back to WWI and explain to him how Iraq came about (would have helped G.W. too).

He may also check with some physicians that actually practise, why heathcare costs are going out of control.

Sorry - he needs a serious brain check.

Amanda, a growing number of people like his common sense approach to issues.
If he bothers you that much watch Fox News or another network.
I like watching Bill O'Reilly and Hanity & Combs but I don't always agree with what they say.
I really enjoy Lou Dobbs but I don't always agree with everything he says either.

rubberlife -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/21/2007 4:51:07 PM)

Ahm,

right wing nuts like Fox people should be send to some very remote place, perhaps Siberia or a little up north of Fairbanks and simply forgotten about.

farglebargle -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/21/2007 4:59:21 PM)

Keith Olbermann puts them all to shame, tells it like it is, and doesn't talk bullshit about anyone or anything.

And I concur that people who comment on healthcare costs need a reality check with real doctors. Here's a hint: Three TRILLION DOLLARS are wasted by insurance companies playing games with doctors valid billing submissions.

Ok, maybe not a hint.

amanda1 -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/21/2007 7:02:55 PM)

thanks,
it is simply time to find common grounds again and forget about making the divide even bigger.
Since I am watching CNN right now, please add Larry King to the nut cases. Oh my, Anna is just so much of an idol for me.
Where the heck do people get from what is important? What do they smoke and can I have some of it?

Dobbs is 100% right when it comes to the border and immigration problems. The one main hospital where I live is now saying that if you have no insurance, there may not be a doctor available to treat you simply because doctors are refusing to go on-call for patients without insurance. Illegal aliens has hurt the healthcare system so much, that hospital ERs are closing.
You go to an ER and the room is filled with hispanics, most of which can't speak a word of english, has no insurance, and has no plans to pay the bill. But you bet someone pays....me and my insurance company who then raises my premiums every year despite my good health year after year.

I'm so sick and tired of this BS. We need to shut down the border and make it a federal crime for businesses to hire these people. Any business that hires an illegal alien should be fined severely. I am done with paying higher taxes and higher insurance premiums in order to take care of Mexico's poverty problem.

farglebargle -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/22/2007 4:25:46 AM)

We need to make it a Federal Crime for Insurance companies to fraudulently deny a properly coded billing submission, and we'll have ALL the money we need to make sure EVERYONE gets appropriate and necessary health care.

Three Trillion Dollars.

So you are saying that if the insurance companies pay out on every single claim, that there will be more than enough money for everybody? That doesn't make any sense.

And how is illegal immigration the insurance company's problem? Why is it that people that don't pay a dime of insurance, is not a citizen of this nation, and enterered this country illegally has to recieve free medical care but I have to pay rising premiums or pay $500 for an ER visit?

The federal government needs to secure our borders. Protection of the states from invasion is a responsibility of the federal government according to the constitution. Instead, the feds would rather create a slave-labor class in order for corporations to continue with record-high profits and lower labor costs.

We do not have the money to support the world's poor. We are broke! We are $8 trillion dollars in debt. Our federal government couldn't balance the budget if their life depended on it. Even the Democrat's budget plan calls for a $460 Billion dollar deficit because we have to increase our funding to help people with AIDS in Africa.
We don't even have the money to supply healthcare to all Americans. Yet you want to extend free healthcare for Mexicans that entered this country illegally? That's BS!

It doesn't make sense, because it's not what I'm saying.

The losses occur at the Doctor's offices as they need to pay money to resubmit perfectly proper claims. They waste so much money dicking around getting the insco to pay valid claims, they generally give up and just accept what the insco offers in settlement. Larger practices find it economically to HIRE ONE OR MORE full time employees to negotiate with insurance companies.

The artificial friction caused by this practice of Insurance Companies requiring resubmission of properly filed claims costs us an estimated 3 trillion dollars annually.

Cyberdude, tough to argue with you there, everything you said is true!

PoisonRoses -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/22/2007 2:39:23 PM)

Lou Dobbs is absolutely correct about most things.   There is a war on the middle class going on and people need to wake up and understand that.    They want the rich and the poor.   Period.   If you are not a billionaire and back the republican party then you are not only voting against your neighbor, you are voting against yourself.

Poison, it's not just the Republicans, Lou Dobbs reported tonight that Ted Kennedy is trying to craft another "amnesty" bill behind closed doors with the "stakeholders only."
And just who are the "stakeholders?"
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Immigration Attorneys and a few other business interests. No mention of the biggest stakeholders of all, The American People!
Then, there's all those "free trade" Bills.
Isn't it odd that everytime they pass one of those we lose jobs?

GeekyGirl -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/22/2007 5:00:15 PM)

Ok I feel ignorant now because I have NO IDEA who Lou Dobbs is!

However, on the subject of healthcare: I don't have any complaints. I've been at my job for 3.5yrs and haven't noticed any appreciable raise in the cost of my health care per month.I'm embarrassed to admit though that I couldn't tell you exactly how much my monthly cost is (it's automatically deducted from my check and I've never noticed it being an unreasonable amount I guess...) I know that my co-pays are reasonable ($25 for dr visit, $30 for specialist, $100 for emergency room, 90% of all hospital/major procedure bills, my dental is darn near free.)

Someone please educate this youngster: What is all this hoopla about health care?

Sanity -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/22/2007 6:46:51 PM)

Some people think health care should be "free" like government cheese is "free". Others say that health care would deteriorate badly if it were a vast government bureaucracy, and that doctors would have little or no incentive to excel or even to go into the field at all if their salaries were capped.

There are a lot of angles to it. You could be forced to go to a certain doctor under the socialized scheme, all your medical records may very well become public information, and if it were "free" people who didn't really need to go in could flood emergency rooms and clinics with nuisance visits for every little sniffle or bruise. The debate is pretty big. Should your neighbor have to pay your bills through taxes, and vise-versa. The debate goes on and on...

What's the alternative, paying $300 a week to some insurance company?

Geeky, Lou Dobbs is a newscaster on CNN at 6 pm.
He's origionally from Texas, got a degree in Economics from Harvard University.
He has a lot of common sense and there are a growing number of people who would like to see him run for President, me among them.

Sanity -> RE: Lou Dobbs (2/22/2007 7:47:13 PM)

One alternative would be to limit the millions and millions and millions that money-grubbing trial lawyers like John Edwards rape the system for every year, so that health care costs might have a chance to stabiliize... some specialties face severe shortages in new practicioners because trial lawyers hit them so hard.

It's a start.

Is there anyone else in the thread who sells Practice Management, EHR, and Medical Billing software to the market?
