Will someone please explain something to me. I guess its because Im fairly new to this site so maybe I just dont understand the politics or how things work. But is there some reason that people cant respond to messages? Is it that hard to take 2 seconds and just write back "hey Im not interested" or "thanks for writing but Im talking to someone else" or hell 50 other things they could say. If I can take 2 mins out of my day to write you then dont you think they could return the same courtesy. No of course not that would require brains or some sort of higher level of thinking which obviously they do NOT posses. Maybe its karma. When I first joined this site, I picked and chose who I would write back and just deleting those I did not. Who knows. Should I just stop writing people all together? Doesnt seem like Im getting anywhere anyways. I got a message last night as long as my arm, even had the boys number on there and when I responded, he read it but did he write back??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Maybe I will call him and tell him exactly what I think of him, but maybe not, he would probably like that too much...lol Your thoughts and comments are as always appreciated.

Some people do not respond to messages, others do. It just depends on the person, ^-^ people respond when they can.

You may want to test whether they even received your email. Someone else found out that for the last couple of months his emails were not getting through even though they were marked "read". You can email me if you like and I will respond to let you know if there might be a glitch

People don't always respond right away. No one is obligated to respond to an anonymous cyber email. I answer about 10% of the emails I get here. And, as Katy noted, not responding equals not interested.

It's fun when they send stamped envelopes and you can return them with nothing inside. I wonder if responding to pm's with blank messages would frustrate the hell out of people.....hmmmnnn......

And wouldn't adding a few lead fishing weights to the prepaid envelope to make it weigh more than the prepaid postage will allow for cause them to have to pay even more for their efforts?

I used to have a policy of responding to everything. Then, they started writing back to me, whining about how I rejected them too soon, and couldnt they have a chance, oh, fine, im just a bitch and cant handle them. Why put myself up for more unconsensual abuse?

In defense of the guy who seemed to care.....i often get a chance to read my messages during the day, but not always to take the time to respond the way i want to when it is someone i am trying to develop something with. at least give him 48 hours!

I know what you are coming from..my Master had been chatting via email with a sub here, he asked me to email her, granted no one has to respond, but to me its a slap in the face that she could not respond to an email (which honestly I did not want to write)that I had to put some thought into it. Thus reasons like this sometimes the subs/slaves seem shadey..they should acknowledge the Masters slave..but that is my opinion. but back to the question..they don't have to answer, but once they have written you and you take the time to respond, they should at least respond back.

Recently, I haven't responded to some messages I probably should be because I've been sick the past week and just didn't feel like it. That's probably not why most people don't respond though. You could try sending messages that are a little longer so hopefully a conversation of some sort can be had. We sent some messages back and forth and then they seemed to just stop so I didn't let it bother me. Probably a good idea to adopt a similar outlook. Don't let nonreplies bother you, and hopefully don't get jaded by them and turn your profile into one of those big don't bother contacting me profiles.

bigbonedbeauty, Not knowing the full details of your situation, I don't know how much advice I can give. I responded to the only message I got without initiating contact within a matter of hours, politely declining the woman who wrote to me (we simply weren't a good fit; she was a Mistress looking for a slave). As far as the messages I sent out, I've gotten responses to only two of them; one with whom things did not work out, and the other who I've talking with for quite a while. As a side note, the girl who I've been talking to didn't respond to my email for several weeks. While I've learned that no response USUALLY means no interest, there are other reasons you might not be hearing back from the people to whom you are writing; real life, responding to different people, other obligations, etc. In any event, I hope that you keep at it, and hopefully, you will find someone with whom you can connect. I respond back to every message I receive...I can't believe how awful some of the people are out here...Geez!!!! Then I immediately start telling them about myself...really personal stuff! They always will reciprocate with info about themselves....Then it's phone sex..I have them explain in detail what they are doing....Then I get them to send extremely graphic pictures of themselves doing all sorts of really icky things...So, after about a week...I tell them that I feel a special connection...something I haven't felt in a long, long, time, and just how "special" they make me feel!!!!..Usually by this time I get them to admit they feel strongly about me as well and sometimes I have even heard them say that they "LOVE" me!!! Oh Boy!!! Then it's time to set up a meeting...usually at a hotel...I know what kind of food they like. music,flowers etc... I Tell them it will be one of the most memorable nights of their lives!!!....Then when they are on their way to the hotel I call them on their cell and say I don't want to meet or talk anymore...because I finally got around to reading their profile and they are too fat or something like that....Oh yeah! I also forward all of the tapes of our phone sex along with any pics to all of the people they work with!!! It's fun!!! But to not answer messages is just plain rude!!!

I try to respond to almost every message I receive, but that is me. I have gfs that don't respond to people that are rude or don't interest them, and I don't blame them for not responding to the rude ones of course. But then again a few of my friends have the fact that they have found someone on their profile, and they still get guys that don't read them. I am open to talking with interesting people, even though I have someone. So that is why I usually respond. Never hurts to have too many friends, you never know you may learn something from one of them. I know that I sometimes do not respond to mail immediately, especially if they may be expecting a lengthy message from me. It may take me a few days or a week or so, before I respond to those. I rarely initiate new contact, though from time to time I do in response to an interesting profile, journal entry, or post to the message boards. If the other person does not respond, I am fine with it. It's not like I know them anyway. [:D]
