Why is it that many people pick avatars that look totally different then they do? I often see these beautiful pictures on avatars than look at the picture, and the person looks totally different. Is it their altar ego here? This is what I would look like in my dreams? If you are old and overweight, why pick an avatar of a young sex goddess? I picked lovely female feet, because I love to look at them..yummy. :)

Creepy thing is, mine looks an awful lot like my profile pic.. which is why I chose this avatar.

It's wonderful being unique and being me :) Again, I hardly wanted some dudes picture on my avatar, so I choose what I love to look at. pretty feet.

Then why question what others choose. Maybe what they choose is what they enjoy looking at or fantasizing about. Edited to add...and that's cheating adding in that last line of your OP.

I don't use my profile pictures because i got tired of looking at myself. I'm not really a flower though. But i'm with Aileen68 on this one - especially because i didn't hop over to your profile and thought you were a woman. Fukintroll - too funny.

As you may have guessed, I had a dragonoplasty performed and as a result my forum avatar is 100% accurate.

Sometimes people choose a picture or symbol of something that just clicks with them..perhaps it is just a piece of artwork or photography that they enjoy. Personally, I just use my own photo. I'm told this photo I'm using now really shows a lot about me (something about the look in my eyes is what I keep hearing.)
