ok...this is a spin off from DomAzz's post that went from demanding subs to discussing haircuts...

Bald women normally do nothing for me. Well bald on the top of their head that is. Bald in other places is much prefered.

I have a lover who keeps his hair short with clippers, #1 or #2 setting. Sometimes, he lets me do it for him. Rush for me, free haircut for him.

Then, there was the time I went to trim him up and forgot the guard. I was mortified...he took it in stride. I thought it was damned sexy when it was all done and I got over saying I'm sorry about a thousand times. Yes, he's let me do it since.

Had a shaved girlfriend in the days of 70s punk, though she did have a pony tail growing out of her crown but she was good as bald. It looked kick ass sexy. You need the right shaped head though and I would imagine it just looks good on young women but she looked good in her leather biker jacket, torn tee shirt, kilt and Doc Marten boots.

We love symbols. It's why physical collars are so omnipresent.

Hair is a symbol. I can't count the number of discussions I've had about how to deal with hair in the scene- usually removing everything below the neck and growing out everything above it.

In the het scene as well, femininity is associated with long flowing hair. The het scene often exagerrates typical feminine physical traits- corsets for the waist, high heels, etc.

To remove that symbol can be extremely powerful exactly as denying and controlling orgasm is for so many. In some ways it is even more so because you can be forced to show it in vanilla public and know that it is exposed to everyone that you are stripped of some part of you which you may have deeply associated with your femininity, with your self-identity.

A lot of slaves feel sacrifice is an important part of their submission.

I used to have a huge thing about my hair (which can be read here: ) but these days, I just like it to look pretty and be easily maintained- both above and below the neck. So I rarely shave anywhere, and get a nice thorough cut once or twice a year. Since I no longer have serious emotional attachments to my hair, I'm fine with cutting it off.

On the other hand, I would find it very difficult if I were told I couldn't wash my hair, brush my hair, or cut the ends off regularly to keep it looking nice. Since I don't consider bald to be ugly, I would still maintain my sense of self if I were shaved.

But since I do consider "unkempt" to be ugly, it would be much harder to be forced into public looking that way.

And, like any symbol, you can make it into what you want. For some it's a trial to go through together as a bonding experience.

there's nothing I would love more than shaving my head...I've fantasized about it, and not in a sexual fashion. just the idea of being able to not have to deal with it. (I have a lot of hair - and please leave that one alone, ladies and gentleman.)

but, the aftermath, the "growing out" stage, would be absolutely hellish. I think that's one of the reasons I've never done it.

I've had a mohawk before (am in the process of growing my hair our evenly, right now) and once the weight is off completely I'll likely shave all of my hair off at least for a while. As it is, I miss my mohawk.

I've considered, when the time comes, having my partner and I shave my head in a ritual fashion together. I've long used the cutting of hair as a method of closure and moving forward, reaching my correct size is largely about putting behind me the surgeries and life that caused them and the weight gain from it all behind me, so, shaving my head with his aide would be one of a few symbols of rebirth that I'm thinking to use.

I once had a lover who shaved her head. She was a high fashion model and wanted her many wigs to fit perfectly.

I do wish she'd told me before me had sex. I have this thing about pulling hair during sex.

I did maintain my erection.

I'm totally shaved.
Since I shave my face in the shower each moning, shaving my head each day is pretty trivial and the shorter the stubble the quicker you do it.

Personally I'm not a big fan of subbie head hair, it's gets sweaty and soaks up oils and if they spend the night, it winds up down your nose and throat if you spoon. Pony tails and plaits mitigate this. And I've got to research hoods too at some stage

But I mainly use subbie hair as something to hold and steer a subbie.

I shaved my head once and I've hacked it almost all the way off a few times before.

But bald or nearly bald on a partner is not what I prefer - I need something to play with.

I do drastic things to myself when feeling stale. One of the easiest and most effective ways I've found to freshen myself and lighten my mood is to cut my hair so short that I can't grab it. Shaving it ... dunno. I have a fairly high-profile job and doubt it would go over well.

Years ago I wanted to shave my head

but I was worried I had a lumpy noggin so I didn't. IMO it is kind of awful looking on a poorly shaped skull, but on a good bone structure it is sexyyyyy.

For me it is just hair.. you cut it & it grows. So you cut it & it grows.

I'd never really found shaved heads to be attractive- until a girl at work shaved her head. She looked ridiculously hot.

It's possible that could become a kink of mine... but I think it's always going to be on a person-to-person basis.

My Daddy almost killed me for *trimming* my hair ... so I think if I came home with a shaved head ... someone would have to plan my funeral. He always wants my hair below my shoulders (for hair bondage and pulling) ... so anything shorter gets him all riled up. He even carries an old work badge of mine in his pocket everyday, from when I had really long hair, b/c he wants me to know he wants it that long again, lol.
