The Cut Runs Deep- Deep Purple off of the Slaves and Masters album. I am listening to it now. It is not vintage Deep Purple it was put out in 1990. If it aint Ian Gillan doing the singing it just dont sound right. It sounds half decent though.

No it is Rainbow Lite. Deep Purple kept going at it and should of just called them selves Rainbow, because Rainbow a good group was Deep Purple Light.

What Highway star off of Machine Head. That album and the Live in Japan album are flawless awesome. Metal Church rocked Highway Star on a live album of theirs.

I saw Ian Guillen with Sabbath on the Born again tour in the 80s at the Spectrum. His only Sabbath album, they did Smoke on the Water as the Encore and it rocked its balls off. You can get that song on Limewire under Sabbath Born Again Tour. Rainbow was at the Spectrum a week later and their version of Smoke on the Water sucked. Ritchie Blackmore has so much talent and just kept getting lighter as time went on. I saw Deep Purple on the Perfect Strangers tour when Ian got back with them and they were good again.

You can do all you can do to put down Richie, but he was Deep Purple. Just like Randy was The Guess Who. Oh, have you ever heard of them? I remember when I got back from the war seeing a concert with Buffalo Springfield, ring a bell ? Or going to Alaska and listening to Dark Side of the Moon, while watching funny birds called tarmigans change colors. Now should we get into other music?

I hated to put Ritchie down because he is a true guitar god. He let every body steal his thunder, while he was still on the scene. I like the Guess Who and Buffalo Springfield and Floyd.

Lets do some research here. Richie had to feed his family. Now. Remember Jeff Beck? Faces? Johnny and Edgar Winter? The original guy that played with Jerry Garcia? Or what was the name of Mama; of the Mamas and the Papas? And to dig deeper, who was the King of underground metal? And for one nobody gets? BTO stood for what?
