Lashra -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/23/2007 9:53:20 PM)

My sub says I have the ability to communicate with him on a level that no other female ever had before. He says I make him feel loved, adored, protected (even though he can take care of himself) and he feels fulfilled. That last one being something he has never felt before.

You don't think those threads will have those things?

simplewhispers -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/23/2007 10:26:32 PM)

yes probably forgive me for wanting fresh ideas rather than digging thru threads....[:@]

In other words, you are asking everybody else to expend the effort to repost things they may have already posted to save you the effort of expending any effort by doing research.

Understood.  Good luck.

cjenny -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 7:07:49 AM)

Sometimes I would rather discuss something with ppl here rather than just read old threads.

Sinergy -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 7:16:21 AM)

Fair enough.

My personal approach is to go find a thread which deals (however obliquely) with what I want to discuss and then bring it back to life with my comment / question.

But that is just me and I could be wrong.

cjenny -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 7:18:44 AM)

I don't think it is a matter of right or wrong, just personal preference.

juliaoceania -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 7:25:34 AM)

No one has told anyone not to post a thread about whatever they like. It seemed the OP got a little bent out of shape when old threads were offered in a post to give her even more perspectives about what she stated she wanted to know. There are people on those old threads that do not post here anymore, so it just means more perspectives. It does not mean that others are not free to reply to this post if they wish, although many of us have already written about it already  (hence you can read the old threads if you want to know some of our replies[;)]).

You have the freedom to start a fresh thread, LA has the freedom to post the old ones, those of us that have already written on this topic have the freedom to pass it by, others are free to read the old threads and respond to them too... I love freedom.

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 10:34:50 AM)

the characteristics of Daddy

accepting me as i am though i would like to be "perfect" for Him

forgiving and punishing me accordingly when i've done wrong

accepting my apologies as well

loving, caring and nurturing

protecting me from harm

providing for the things i need and desire

being proud of my accomplishments and encouraging me to reach my potential

i know there's a lot more i could add forever about Daddy

BabyNyla -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 10:46:29 AM)

hmmm ... I like that TC is great with mindfucks ... and he will say things I am thinking before I say them ... which totally freaks me out.

People are like that with me, not just my sub.  All I have to do is think on a thing and sub/friends around me start to discuss it in a day or two...be they mundane or D/s.
Soon, I won't have to speak at all to get anything done.  :)

And I like when LA posts the links, I get more good information that way...
LA, you are very good at what you do, thanks for all your efforts.

To the OP:
Decisiveness, willingness to learn, knowing their limits

Naturally strong
Deliciously flawed
He seeks progress not perfection
He sees beauty in simplicity
He expects me to serve him – not because I’m a submissive but because I am a woman and he is a man.

simplewhispers -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 12:04:28 PM)

by the way I did not mean to cause  a stir , you must realize that when someone new comes to the boards, to see all the posts from days , weeks, mths past , can be overwhelming ....... I did appreciate the links, I will look at each one , and as someone pointed out there are probably people on the posts that do not post now, as there are newbies like myself that like the idea of posting to a new thread .... no disrespect was intended.........

mnottertail -> RE: characteristics of a Dom (2/24/2007 12:12:22 PM)

one does not see any disrespect. And in the great gob of gooseshit that is boiled in this cauldron your spoon was hardly synergystic.

Nevertheless, you go, girl, and get what you think you need/

(so long as it ain't kinky, this is a very forgiving and christain site, you see)

And when you tire of it, how are you at  giving head?

LOL,

Ron
(don't apologize, it is wasted as are strenghtening words out here)
