Tigger (stripped, male kitten) Seems to be the piglet as evry time i check on them his belly is the roundest, fullest one. If he cant find a nipple he heads directly to one of his nursing siblings to knock them off. He rolls abit when nursing, trys to get on his back but seems to end up just kicking one leg. He seems the healthiest of all 3.

Socks (black and white, female) Rolls all over the place nursing. She does end up with her tummy in the air. Seems quite content nursing that way.

Snow (male, all white) Seems like he has issues finding a nipple. Seems to do some of the things Angel did. (Search for a nipple on momma's back and face, stopped looking) With alittle help from me he does well tho. Just need to help him find it. i think i will need to keep an eye on him and make sure Tigger is not knocking him off. Which Tigger seems to be able to do just rolling around.

It is known in the animal world, it is Survival of the fitest. Baby birds will knock the siblings out of the tree just to get all the food. (atleast one type of bird does this and its usually the chick hatched AFTER the other one.. maybe its eagle babies?) They send their sick off to die alone. (which if you think of diseases, its prolly a smart thing to do as they dont know if whatever is ailing said animal is contageous) Prolly a safegaurd God put in. They do many things. Other things i dont agree with, like how the male gender usually kills off the babies to mate with the mother. Which is a survival of the fitest thing (father wasnt strong enough to live) and a genetically selfish thing.

Did anyone know that when male ducks mate with females they peck their heads under water while they do it? Leaving them with patches of missing hair and sometimes drowning them.

i'll send pictures of the kittens as soon as they get their eyes open and start crawling around

You might wanna have some milk replacer on hand, just in case. It isn't that difficult to hand-raise a kitten, if the mom rejects it. (I've done it a couple times with abandoned litters)

Get some KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer) Just Born. and a few nursing bottles (I say a few, because I've had kittens chew through the nipples). If the baby shows signs of stopping eating, take the job over. They need to get fed, basically, every 2 hours. Which is a pain, but not impossible. If the mom hasn't rejected it totally, just rejected it for feeding, life is easier, as you don't have to keep it warm, otherwise...you can either carry it around inside your shirt (works -very- well) or use a heating pad wrapped in towles to keep it warm.

You already know the drill with making sure it poos.

I don't quite see this as a survival of the fittest, thing, because this -isn't- a natural enviorment, and cats -aren't- natural animals.(100's of years of domestication will do that to you.) Plus, we have the ability to save 'em, why not do it?
