hmmmm .... Guess my vote would be for the Morrigan. But there are so many wonderful Goddesses it is hard to talk just of one!

Athena another great one, I owe a debt to Brigit as well. Danu, Cerridwen, so many.

*sigh* like listing friends, I know I will leave out SOMEone and offend them!

That site lists Maedbh but not the Morrigan. Interesting.

Both of those Ladies are close to My home and My heart. Maedbh was the original Irish Domme, I grew up loving the Gaelic warrior woman heritage from which I sprouted :)

The Morrigan I have an... interesting relationship with.

As a note: I don't worship any Gods, they need us as much as we need them ;)

I am sorry the Morrigan was not on the Goddess list I supplied, I shall have to look her up and see what her qualities are. Can you tell us why you have an interesting relationship with her? Or perhaps about some of her qualities as a Goddess?

KG - the Morrigan is the Irish Goddess of battle. Among other things. She took her mates when and how she liked, as did Maedbh. She prophesied and stirred the shit. She moved with grace and ease through the worlds, and it was she the warrior CúChulainn stupidly refused... leading to his eventual downfall.

The best refs to her, and Maedbh, are in the Táin Bó Cuailgne, also known as the Cattle raid of Cooley, or simply the Táin. (Thomas Kinsella's translation is the easiest to obtain, it can also be found online). Saying that, the versions are skewed somewhat due to the translations of Christian scribes, and the lack of understanding of the original context of much of the references.

Google will turn up much for your interest, but the original sources are always the best.

I live in the same county as Rath Cruachan; the site of Maedbh's royal palace and the Morrigan's cave. It adds a certain interest to be so close

Bastet, Athena, Artemis, Anqet, and Kwan-Yin are all my favorites.

I most identify with Lorelei, who is not a goddes, but she is a mythical, semi-magical mermaid.

Its a slow healing process for a typical story.. Girl meets Dom, Girl falls in love with Dom, Dom breaks girls heart after she finds an alternate profile listing himself as single on b.com. Girl hates Dom for awhile before finally becoming free again.

Right now Im in that Girl hates Dom stage. Baby steps to freedom
