my partner and i are discussing circumcision of a future child. we have read many things from many view points but we are wanting your input based in real life experience if you would be so kind.

i have read many things over the years that claim that women have better sex with intact men....the most recent thing i read was that :

"Of the women, 73% reported that circumcised men tend to thrust harder and deeper, using elongated strokes, while unaltered men by comparison tended to thrust more gently, to have shorter thrusts, and tended to be in contact with the mons pubis and clitoris more, according to 71% of the respondents."
-- O'Hara K, O'Hara J.
The effect of male circumcision on the sexual enjoyment of the female partner. BJU International 1999;83 Suppl 1, 79-84.

Women reported they were about twice as likely to experience orgasm if the male partner had a foreskin"
-- Bensley GA, Boyle GJ.
Effects of male circumcision on female arousal and orgasm. N Z Med J 2003;116(1181):595-6.

this coupled with the numbers of grown men that regret a late in life circumsision, and the cruelty to a small baby has made me pretty clear on how i stand on the issue...

my partner is not as convinced

so i am asking you guys to be really real and honest with me has it been your experience that intact men are any different then cut men?

Call me shallow but I think uncircumcised penises look gross.  My owner is circumcised and I have no problems orgasming from vaginal (or anal) sex.

gosh i knew there will be many replies like yours, where folks jump in to defend thier partners cut dicks and the hot sex they always have....*yawn*......but that was not what i was hoping for...i was hoping for a woman to come here and look over the compendium of her sexual history and really be honest about how cut and uncut compares to each other.

i am with you on the looks thing though...and that is a big part of the dilema to be honest.

From a guys standpoint, i have been told that the head is more sensitive in an uncircumsized because it is not exposed all the time and touching things in general. Which makes sense.

Personally i prefer an uncircumsized cock myself. I think they are prettier....much easier to tie up and easier for me to manipulate with my mouth...which i REALLY like

In my experience, uncircumsized penises have been a bit more sensitive, a little trickier to give a hand job, and a little harder to get the condom on right- otherwise no difference, in aesthetic or physical pleasure.

I'm not sure this is what you were looking for either - but I've had lots of sex with circumcised men and also with uncircumcised men - my Master being one of them.  Using this factor alone - I see no difference when it comes to intercourse.

I think thrust has nothing to do with having/not having foreskin.
I do think guys with forskin still, seem to actually get me more aroused during intercourse than men without foreskins.
Oral sex is better for me on a circumsized guy as he's not as musky smelling as a guy with it still.
I think if you're a clean person it causes no problems to not be circumsized, but unclean males end up with infections from the extra skin trapping germs.
I tossed up a coin over an over while I was pregnant too. In the end I had my son circumsized as I didn't want to have to worry if he had issues with keeping his pecker clean that it would get infected.

I think there are a lot of view points to grace on this subject matter:

Most women now adays tend to lean more toward a circumsized male. I'm not saying all, but polls, reviews, etc. suggest that circumsized is more in favor than uncircumsized in the U.S.

Another factor is health. If the boy is fastideous about cleaning, he will be fine, but it's a lot harder to get bacteria and other gunk caught up in a circumsized penis.

Personally, I've only had sex with circumsized penises. My first experience with an uncircumsized dick was that it was slimy with the skin pulled back, and he had...gunk in there. Let's suffice to say that it scarred my perception on men with the extra skin ^^ Also the fact that he was always picking out threads of fabric- gross!

Aesthetically I'd say circumsized. Healthwise, I say also circumsized is easier to clean. I hear men are more sensitive with being uncircumsized, but I've never heard of a man simply not orgasming soley on the fact that he is circumsized.

So there's my two cents.

Umm you posted studies that showed that men that were circumcised performed better in the bedroom, so I was countering with my personal experience.  If you didn't want people to interject their personal experiences in sex with (un)circumcised men perhaps you shouldn't have quoted studies that dealt in that area.  Although to be honest based on your second to last sentence I'm really unclear with how what I said isn't what you want.

This is not what you asked, but it is something to consider. When my son was born he weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. When he was circumsized he dropped 9 oz body weight. That is a lot of trauma for a new baby to endure. Think about what it is you are doing. Knowing what i do now, i would not cut a child.

The only man I have been with who was uncut was a wonderful lover, clean, and odor free.

A man's health and hygeine is going to be up to him. Studies may show Ameican women prefer cut, but there is no guarentee your child will end up with an American woman, nor that this will be the preferred trend when he is old enough to have sex.

Just some thoughts...

Cosmetically, a circumcised penis looks better...Sexually, you can't beat the natural, uncircumcised hands down. That foreskin was not an afterthought, it is there for a reason. And keeping clean cant be a difficult thing to do for every man. (although you would never know it by some people) *shrudders*

Noted. I'm just pointing out the poll results of a certain country. I haven't been able to access any results of any other countries, considering the tests I have read have been done in America. Chances are more likely that his kid will end up with someone from the U.S. if he lives in the U.S. :)

Circumcision is a bit stressful, I'll agree to that, but if all babies turned out to be these catatonic dolls that some websites are arguing they become, then I think there'd be more cases of the same as they age. Due to memory decay as one gets older, the first two years are generally forgotten all together if not just barely remembered, which means that this is not a permanent, scarring procedure unless, in the very, very, very rare case that something does go wrong. With that being said- always have a good doctor on hand if you choose to do it! If you're not comfortable with the one at hand, then I suggest moving on until you find one you are comfortable with.

EDIT: Also, on cleanliness, it is up to the guy to be clean, I agree. And some people do it very well! And...some people don't, lol.

I think it is pretty irrelevent what women say about male circumcision, no woman would accept a man telling her what to do with her body. I would also go as far as saying that parents who mutilate their male children by having them circumcised are every bit as guilty of abuse as if they had their daughters circumcised. The foreskin is a functioning part of the male genitals and serves a purpose and it makes a great difference to sensitivity of the penis. It is not some pointless apendage like the apendix that has no apparent use. A friend of mine who had to be circumcised because for medical reasons said sensitivity is vastly reduced and masturbating is a chore (yeah, funny but not to him). I accept that most men who are circumcised were circumcised when they were children and don't remember having a foreskin so don't miss it but someone who has grown up with a foreskin and is then circumcised will notice the diufference.

The reason for circumcision is in the bible and it is to reduce sexual urge by reducing sensitivity. Basically it is a procedure born out of religious zealotry. Most health serivices in European countries won't circumcise males for anything other than necessary medical procedures because it is seen as mutilation. The British Medical Association say that one of the main causes (in Britain) of penile malfunction and urinary problems is circumcision. There is a campaign in Britain (or was a couple of years ago) by some members of the BMA to get the British government to ban male circumcision completely. The government was reluctant in case they offended religious groups. Strange how they don't mind offending ethnic groups that believe in female circumcision.

i'm uncut... i understand for many it's a turn off, but with good basic hygiene the normal complaints one hears about it are not an issue; though i know that some just plain don't like the appearance (and if i'm erect it's not even noticable, unless the lack of a mushroom-head is due to being uncircumcised)

i react differently to direct stimulation (in both good and bad ways) than i understand most men do, but i'm not really sure what is related and what not)

on the whole i've gotten no complaints, even from those that claimed not to like a protective hood over their lover's active brain

sorry for all the info, you asked

by the way, i'd not consider getting cut at this point in my life, i don't think i missed anything by having a little extra skin

os: how is the skin "extra" when it's what you were born with? i know i've never had a foreskin extension

I have had a few male partners who were uncut.
The sensitivity seems to be higher for the uncut guys.
Getting a condom on a very nervous, uncut, 20-something
virgin was challenging though.

My own opinion for male unmentionables is to let them
go uncut and teach them how to clean themselves.
Do be prepared when they hit puperty and start dating
to assist with any awkward social situations and potential
anxiety.

In my not-so-humble opinion it is immoral to remove a part of someone's body without their permission unless there is a clear and urgent medical necessity.
