I haven't passed out, but I've had out-of-body experiences...visions...spoken in tongues...shapeshifted...channeled...died the "little" or "shaman's death". This happens when I have sex with someone who I connect with on a spiritual level OR if I'm at a place in my head when I simply just need to go there (very cathartic). Depending on what the person does, these orgasms last from 5 to 15 min or so. I try to warn them ahead of time the first few times around. LOL

I'm wondering if that could be possible for me. I'm multi-orgasmic, I can go and go and go and go with no end in sight (though after about, you know, 50 times I may need a little lube, LOL), and I haven't passed out yet. Gotten tired! Tired enough to stop and rest, anyway, or to chill out 'cause I'm bleeding (I like it rough, grr D< LOL!), but never gotten even close to passing out. Clitoral orgasms just don't do it for me. After a couple, maybe three, it just tickles or hurts, but intercourse = best ever!

I've heard of this thing, but never have I even came close to passing out from an orgasm, or mulit orgasms.
Just like GaggingWhore states, I just don't think it's possible for me.

Le petite morte was popular in teh 18th century, the thinking being that when a woman orgasms, she briefly dies and goes to heaven. There is a in symbolic scene in Clarisa by Samuel Richardson's 18th century novel  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarissa where she is crushed between a door by her lover and collapses unconscious. This symbolised carnal ectasy in the form of a 'petite morte'. As to whether when women pass out during orgasm they actually do die and go to heaven, being a male, I can't answer that.  But I sent one or two women to heaven in my time.[:)]

my ex girlfriend and i used to have a little fun tying one another up and taking advantage of one another, we have found that we BOTH can pass out from the orgasmic intensity,,, sometimes right at the verge of it, sometimes yes, passing out,,, speaking from this experience, i am in my 40s and she is the only lover ive ever had thats caused this in myself,,, but i think the feeling of not being able to control the inevitablity of your own orgasm plays a major role in coercing this unique passing out in orgasmic rapture phenomena,,,,

The intellectual post:  There is a mystic tradition about orgasm and unconciousness that appears in 18th C. French erotic literature as meatcleaver points out, above.  This borrows from a much older Sufi tradition (and I'm sure its found in other Eastern mysticism, but I can't recall where) that says that the moment of orgasm is the only time that one's spirit is unveiled and vulnerable, and therefore the only time Human can meet God.

The pragmatic post:  I have had one partner reach this state during a long pain/torture session culminating in vaginal fisting.  I always wondered if it was the endorphin overload, the effect of long, rolling orgasms that come with fisting, exhaustion, or what?  but it was awesome, exhilirating (for Me) and somewhat daunting when it would happen.  And I've had other partners who would cry, scream, laugh, speak in tongues, etc. during multiples.  And of course, I've had still other partners who say "HEY, stop it....OUCH...one was plenty...go away!"
