As yet we see another instance of the Government feeling that they know better then we when it comes to how we live and die you have to wonder how much real privacy exists. We now have the ultimate death reality show going on in Florida. When the struggle for death becomes a sick "Survivor" type news show, it's a sad state for the nation.

This may just be a joke now, but in a few years????

My parents filled Me in on this last night a little bit, although admittedly I was doing two things at once. I still don't exactly understand what's going on and why there is such heated discussions and inflamed emotions over the matter?

All I really know at this point is something about some kind of abuse, with bruises and everything showing up, something about her brain being damaged severely and that she can't talk, but otherwise she is physically healthy. Then there was a Judge who ruled that they pull the plug. I know I'm missing a lot here, so hopefully someone will not mind filling Me in. How exactly do all the pieces fit together to warrant the massive uproar around the nation? What all happened that I missed?

Living in California you can't "not" pay attention. It is at the top of all news broadcasts.

That and Terri and of course our weather forecasts that are usually always wrong now.

Other than that, not a lot is making news out here right now. At least not what should be making news anyway.

You can, but it invovled not having a tv or taking the newspaper.

Since I started to work at the bookstore I'm at I've been forced to know more, though, 'cause People magazine gets front and center displays

Yeah it's hard to avoid, I just try to tune it out. It is everywhere though... until the next headline pops.

Alas, the media has become a shell of it's former self. Walter Cronkite is rolling in his grave, wait, he's alive and eating lobster on Martha's Vineyard - but I'm betting it's tasting like chicken.
