Said that 22 years as a system adminstrator had taught me to never install initial versions of software.

Status: offline 		I've never had a drive-by pot shot... or even a western style shoot out at high noon.

I have had rather peculiar emails from people completely unsuitable, but it's never been an issue yet. I assume it's because the emails are from people who have fired haphazardly into a very, very large body of water... using their profiles or form letters as their ammo.

It makes me wonder where the confrontational ones come from and how they single out various folks on the other side.

I finally just started replying "To brighten your day with my glowing and effervescent presence and to gloat that I'm getting some and your not!"

Now I dont get much email cause I can be a little rude during the healing of the heart stage. I guess I got runover by my karma

I do feel better knowing that is was an random act of idiocy on her part.  If this was the first I had gotten since I joined.. I must not be TOO bad,  I have my "moments" at times.   
I have a wonderful knack of telling someone to go to hell so that they look forward to the trip :)

Status: offline 		I am not sure what the purpose for the sender is, but as the receipient of quite a few of these types of blitz attacks by total strangers over the years, the purpose seems to make me giggle when I venture into my inbox. 

My all time favorite was a guy calling me chubby (from his plus sized glass house) and telling me I was a "roleplayer" for being Gorean, but call him Daddy.   Now come on, how can you NOT like a little bit of irony like that in the morning?

Edited because while I may love irony, apparently punctuation escapes me in the morning.

Well hell.....that's what I've always admired about you......but do yourself a favor and lose that avatar ; because when you tell someone to go hell, it comes across much better when they can see that picture of you with your ''serious look'' and the glasses are hanging down  ; }

Status: offline 		I've only received a couple of  "drive by pot shots" in emails here.  Most recently i was sent one telling me that if i'm not looking, i should get off the site.  I spent all of about 3 seconds wondering what compelled that person to  write....then laughed as i deleted.  
 On a slightly different  note...."drive by potshots" are  quite prevelant here on the boards..people who have nothing of use to add to a thread, but otherwise feel compelled to make a nasty or derogatory comment.  Is there a difference?   Is it more acceptable on this side because it is a message board?   Or is it equally annoying.
