Has anyone had it this year? I am in the throws of it right now second bout. Let me tell you, it is one hell of a virus. It is most miserable. If you think you have it, RUN don't walk to your nearest walk in clinic and get something for it. BUT when you get that something find out what the side effects are and ask for something to counter act them.
Although I have never had cancer or been really close to anyone that has gone thru Chemo, I can imagine what it is like to have to face a treatment of something that is supposed to make you better yet makes you sicker than you currently are.
I am taking Tamiflu. The main side effect of it is naseua and vomiting. Nothing over the counter helps so you are either forced to deal with the side effects or go get another perscription. You can't eat because food just tastes like chemicals. You can't drink anything because it comes right back up. You are then faced with the prospect of dehydration which will make you have to go back to the doctor anyway. Its a vicious, vicious cycle. (its a conspiracy ya know) [:o][;)]. So cut thru all the hassle and get the extra prescriptions while you are at the Dr. the first time.
Does anyone else have any experiences with this hell on earth? Share with me and how you combated the symptoms and the side effects of the medication that is supposed to help make you better.
