Personally, I like pain sluts. They can be so much fun.

I think you all need an organization. I've been trying to think of a good name for it, but my mind is drawing a blank today. As for slogans....how about, "Pain, it's such a rush" or "Pain sluts, for a more painful America, today, tomorrow, and beyond" Any thoughts you might have?

Could there be a convention too?

Just some random thoughts thrown out there today. Happy Easter.

LOL if you want. I find pain sluts boring and selfish on the whole. It's like bottoming to an endless pit- they want their pain and they want lots of it. I'm not saying all painsluts are selfish and boring partners, just I don't find myself enjoying scenes with them usually.

I enjoy topping masochists and pushing limits, just not target practice.

It also depend on what sort of pain slut, i think pain can be exiting, but for different reasons than many here seam to think.

Who coined the term "pain slut"? If you like pain why must you be a slut? And maybe for someone with a high pain threshold, you would indeed be pushing the limit, since maybe the Dom/sub want too see how far/how long they can go.

Being the queen of pain-slutishness... (well okay, maybe not the queen, but a minion perhaps)... I agree, we need an organization! Hmm... I'm not too good with slogans though. But here's two of my favorite quotes, enjoy:

It seam to me that pain sluts are much discussed, some coin them as horribel persons, untrue and just after getting pain, if that was right why not hurt yourself, some are machorcists true and have no D/s intrests, some are interested in D/s and are also marchisists, some dont like pain but let the Dom do it anyway, who has the right to say that one type of pepole are okey and the other is just selfish and bad?

Chupaflor, I think the term "pain slut" may come from the fact that the person wants pain and lots of it, and a run-of-the-mill slut wants sex and lots of it. But that's a random thought after thinking about it for maybe a minute, I could be wrong.

Well, I dunno who coined it, but I know when I use the term I mean that pain can pretty much make me do -anything-. Not 'cause it hurts, but because I enjoy it so much.

Heh. In my book, that's "sluttish" (not that that's a bad thing, mind.)

I'm confused. You enjoy topping masochists but you don't enjoy topping pain sluts? What's the difference? In my mind the terms have always been synonomous.

For me a pain slut is a masochist yes, but in my experience the type of energy and scene I have with pain sluts specifically is such that they suck the energy out without return. They just want their pain, how they want it, as long as they want it, to get where they want to be, and that's it.

I *am* somewhat wary with masochists in general as well, they can easily become addicted to their pain rush and get grouchy if they don't get what they want, but I find it easier to mediate and work with than a general "pain slut."

And as a required caveat- I'm not saying they are all like this and that they all suck.

So everyone that likes pain is just selfish, oh stupid me, i did not realise that for a session to go well, the bottom could not enyoy him or her self.

You will find egosentrical lovers in all types of sexual activity, and giving lovers. To say that everyone that enyoy pain can become adicted to it and are just selfish, perhaps an erea of sex where pain is less used would fit you better.

Emerald didn't say that!!

I'll admit, I bristled when I read her first post, but she was clear that this is in -her- experience with self-described pain sluts. My experience with them, (and, I hope, myself) is different, but that doesn't negate what she's experienced.

My experience with people who describe themselves as pain sluts has mostly been like this--they want pain, so they work extra hard to do the things that will allow them to experience pain. With one couple I know, he hits her as a reward. When she's served particularly wel, she gets what she loves.

Still, doesn't change the fact that Emerald has met draining painsluts. She certainly didn't say that all of us on the boards that identify that way are inherently selfish.

I see...difference in terminology. I call those people energy vampires, and it's not relevant to role. I know just as many who identify as submissive or dominant or sadist as ones who identify as masochist. They suck, but they're not all masochists by a long shot.

Some pepole are draining, yes psycic vampires, pepole that just takes all the nergy from a room. Somtimes by purpose, somtimes they do not even know what they are doing.

Werry wll, so i might have mistaken what Emerlad did say, but i still think it was an over generalisation.
