after reading FT's heathen/pagan poll it got me wondering if the Crusades happened today, who would control the Holy Land (according to the maps of what was considered the Holy Land back from 1095 to 1291)? how would it effect the events happening in the Middle East today? would the Bush administration support it or still fight their "war" in Iraq? it would be very interesting to hear your thoughts about this.
