I microwaved a peep today.  They blow up, but they are mighty tasty with that little bit of roasted taste.
AS for chocolate, my recent addiction is russel stovers sugar free

Ive done that, too, they are good, but you have to be careful the peeps dont overcook, they will burn in the middle and taste nasty.

Found a new chocolate to love, by the way. Anyone ever try Nutella spread?  its hazelnut and cocoa ... wow

yes, nutella is delicious. I discovered it when I was prego years ago- it tastes great on pretzels. I can't imagine a peeps smores, wouldnt the sugar on the peeps cause them to burn and taste nasty?

not if you microwave them.  you can even do it with the sugar free ones.
just make sure to melt the chocolate first, so you dont overcook your peep. and make sure to use the chicks, the bunnies burn too fast

**edited to add boredom teaches one many interesting peep tricks...  trust me on this one**

Sharffenberger is definitely on the list for pure chocolate.  And I'd like to say that I can't be had for the price of a dozen roasted almond Godiva truffles, but I'd be lying.

Newest addictions tho are both from one of the local health food stores... Seeds of Change has a line of specialty bars now and I LOVE the Narragansett, which is Dark Chocolate with candied pecans, cranberries, orange oil, and cinnamon.  Oh yeah!  Also a new product out called Omega Truffles by Bija which are incredible to start with (at least the dark chocolate is), plus they have Omega 3-6-9 added.  So you can tell yourself it's healthy!

well, since we've touched on the topic of smores.....milk chocolate in them, but the marshmallow MUST be burnt......there's something about the charcoal mixing with the chocolate that is yummy!

For windchymes -- my current favorite is Hershey's candy coated milk chocolate eggs, available only during Easter season.  yum!

Wow....I'm not sure what my favorite is, but I will begin my extensive research right away and get back to ya!

BTW, am I the only one here who finds those marshmellow peeps revolting?  lol  It skeeves me out when that sugary stuff crunches between my teeth!

mmmmmm Nutella. I haven't had that in a long time, but it's one of the best things in the world. Put it on a crumpet (if you find them) or English muffin with some seedless raspberry jam and it's Heaven!

European chocolate is heavenly!!!!  When I was in Germany, I fell in love with their Ritter candy bars.......since I can't get it in the states, I have to settle for Godiva and Dove......and dark chocolate rules!!!!!

Was leaving Target today and they had a couple different kinds of Ritter bars by the register.  Yes, I said Target.  Have also seen many of them at a specialty German grocery we have here.  We have a huge influx of German/European visitors here every winter, so it might be somewhat unique to my area.  But they're definitely available in the US...just perhaps not widely distributed?  I'd be happy to fill an order for you.  Drop me a line if you'd like to work something out.

Sending contraband chocolate across state lines...now I'll never get the theme to Smokey and the Bandit outta my head.

Mythi, you are too funny!!!!!  Trader Joe's also has a few flavors of them, as does the cost plus World Markets...but the ones i love the most were a nougat type covered with the chocolate, and I can't find those...they were great frozen.....ARRRRRGGGHHH!  Now I'm really craving one.....and I don't have a single piece of chocolate in the house.....shame on me!
