I dont' know why I used that subject but i hope it gets attention. lol I've heard plenty about Pony and Puppy play but what about cats? I've looked everywhere for information about it and can't find anything. I'm a cat at heart (well a Tiger *points to name*) and my Master/Owner loves when i act all cat-like. Are there any other kitty's out there that feel left out?

If I ever wanted to be into any pet play I would definatly be a kitty. It's not my thing persay but I did have a Dom refer to me as kitten a few times and pet many times. When he said those words I did get excited.

There's two very charming subs who cralw around in cute kitten play at the local dungeon I go to.
While I agree there's not so much information circulating around regarding it, but it's definately alive and well in the MD area if that helps.

There are Dungeons in New England!!!!! [:D] Master and i just recently moved to VT. I've never been to a dungeon but would like to go see what its like. Do you know of any closer to VT?

i get pet like a kitty :D i am not requred to meow and whatnot but when He lets me curl up in His lap [and we both know why] to be pet like a kitty its the best

Which picture? The one displayed beside my forum posts? It's a corset. When some of the front is missing, but the collar is intact, that's called a keyhole design when sewing. So, I call it a keyhole corset.

i am very much into Kat play. i am however more a wild Kat when i play. It is true, there is not a lot of information out there as far as books or articles on kitty/Kat play. There are human Kats out there, but i think some tend to keep it less public, because once people see you as a Kat, they often assume you are not interested in heavier stuff, because kitty play is 'not as intense'. Which is not always true, but anyway...What kind of information are you looking for?

If you are looking for the basics, a lot of information on puppy play can be translated toward a more Kat approach. A great site out there is BDSM Animal Training. There isn't information on Kats, but some of the information can be used for a Kat too (for example, the basic equipment is generally the same...food and water dish, harness, KNEE PADS [trust me, this is a must if you'll be doing all-fours], leash, toys [of course, the toys are different...just look at the cat toys in pet stores]...and the information 'Things that will help you get inside the Dog mind' is also very useful for helping someone get into a Cat mindset). Other than that (and there are many other sites on puppy play that can be translated for kitty/Kat play, the best advice i can give you is to study cats. Watch how they move, and try to move like them. Watch how they behave, and try to behave like them. For a submissive, the best cats to watch (that aren't so....independent and stubborn), in my opinion, are Bengal cats. They are more obedient and more dependent, and are very much into walking on leashes, and learning commands. My Bengal cat knows 'sit' 'stay' (to an extent...usually no more than 2 minutes) 'beg' 'come' 'out' 'down' and a guessing game where she, much like a child, picks a hand at random that might hold her treat. Cats are very graceful and agile, so work on those, too.

Wow thank you for that. Master doesn't want me on all fours all the time and says that he doesn't want me eating and drinking out of dishes, but i do love cat toys and the smell of catnip. [:)]

i myself endulge in being a kitten. i pride myself on the fact that i act as a youthful feline, rather than a cat. Cat's tend to be more motherly where as kittens are jumpy and cute and playful, and instead of licking someone because who's their mate or little baby a kitten tends to lick everyone happily and curiously. Which explains my behavior of running about and being the hug whore that i am, hugging everyone most happily. but i'm good when i need to be

I am definately his kitten though I don't really know how left out I feel. I would like to have more experience with other kittens and their point of view on things but I'm not ever sure what sort of human size toys would be made for us. Valyraen makes a kitty toy by dangling his keys in front of me. [:)]

I think that the able crowd here has identified a number of resources for StarTigeress on exploring kitty play.  This thread made me wonder something else, tho.  I've seen an increase in animal play-acting/animal role play, etc. in the general B/D/S/M scene over the past twenty or so years (yah, I'm old).  Why?  I've seen a rise in "pony play" -- both in B/D/S/M literature and imagery, and in real time public dungeon play.  I also think the rise of "furries" as a cultural/sexual perversion adds to the availability of animal role play.

I'm curious if my perception is shared by others, that pony/puppy/kittie etc. play is more present?

i have felt the same way, thus the reason i use "cat" as part of my IRC nick...starting out out catboy, now...as suggested by many of the OPs in the room i am considered a playful addition...catnip.

please keep me posted about your findings...inquiring minds wanna know
