I'm also a member of the fearing bugs camp- I like spiders, but any insect or centipede type thing, and I will be shaking and freaking out. Rape play would be another one of those things I am extremely fearful of (even though I know it's not "real" rape, but with some bad history with this, I don't want to try to cope with that)- and thus, it is a total, absolute hard limit for me. Other things I fear would be things such as being left out in an open space by myself, not knowing where my Dom is or how to get back to where we came from (I love small spaces, but I'm a bit afraid of the open ones, haha), or making any strange loud noise in the night- I am very, very easily startled, and so make any noise when I can't tell where it's coming from, and I completely flip out.
Fortunately, I have a nice Dom who kills the bugs for me and investigates every noise that scares me and holds me until I calm down, and wouldn't leave me somewhere uncomfortable for me to be in or that made me feel stressed or alone.
I'm also fortunate that my fear does not get him off, and that I can trust him, so I know he wouldn't put me in harm's way.

The number one thing I fear the most is...

Encountering Big Foot in the woods -  I would literally piss myself to death and keel over from dehydration...

Another submissive was tied down and her head was placed in a wooden box that had an opening in to the top. She had also been blindfolded. After she was secured a pet rat was dropped into the box. Very scary scene.

heartfelt

Sounds like a scene from half the Reality shows on TV now....

Nice to know I am not the only one who has that fear. (and yes it is a horrible fear)

rayn

Not at all, in fact there are a few on here who have that fear.

Wish me luck, I'm driving to San Antonio tomorrow all by my lonesome!  First long trip alone since coming to Texas.

One thing that I would absolutely consider a fear to a point of a phobia is closed in spaces.  I could never crawl into a cage, a closet or even a room where there is no escape route.  I would go stark raving mad.

As silly as this sounds I'm petrified of butterflies and worms. I jusy freeze and go into emidiate panic mode. Which usually involves me screaming and running.

mmmmmmmm suddenly has images of Rob and I sitting on the deck laughing as we watch a certain girl digging in the dirt for worms.

and of course.. putting them in a pail for use in other play time fun. ... Going to have to make a box with a few holes in it.  *EG*

I myself fear spiders--there are sooo many different species some that could kill you dead--another--Is needles--never would venture into needleplay--and would not expose my slave to this as well

My 'physical' fears are pretty normal I guess. Bugs bugs bugs. They lay eggs under your skin & breed yup they do (according to my older sister the only cure was to paint myself head to toe with nail polish).
Confinement/mummification and um... birdies. Yes those feathered things.
When I was 4 I was standing at the oceans edge.. a flippin pelican landed on my head *sob*, all the adults stood and laughed as my legs wobbled causing me to slowly sink into the ocean. That was just my first bad birdie experience lol. Loreleis budgie scares me too!

Fears/phobias are so interesting. One persons total freak-out fear can so easily be another persons daily activity. Fears are often irrational which makes for a feeling of shame, compounding the fear even more.

Yah yah IMO stuff. Except for the birdies, they have talons n beaks n beady eyes.

Needles for me. I almost didn't marry one of the wives because I had to take a blood test. I'd been alright with just cutting my arm and dripping some blood into a test tube for them.

I am not sure about Canada... but they actually sell worms in the US.  Just have to go to a bait and tackle store and they will give him plenty of worms.

Finally. Someone else in the world who can understand why I hate butterflies.  They're just another creepy crawly bug, only with colorful wings.  Blech.

I hate creepy crawlies..Once I had to vaccuum up a centipede that was crawling across my living room floor (I lived in the mountains) and it gave a big THUNK as it was sucked into the vaccuum tube and I shrieked, flung the vaccuum, climbed up on the couch and shuddered for the next half an hour or so, lol.

And if anyone put my head in a box while something crawled across me, the next stop would have to be the psych ward.

I used to have a knife phobia...but....let's just say that's been cured.

I don't respond well to being tighly confined.  My one and only experience at being mummified with cellophane resulted in a panic attack.

And then of course there's my new found fear of BBQ brushes, lol. Thanks to you know who you are.

I fear being given to a Dom that is not very skilled in mental or physical aspects of a slave & being held under water. I can swim just fine but being held under scares me big time

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

-The Bene Gesserit Littainy against Fear from the book dune

Thankfully, I don't need that since I don't fear anything : )
