Dear MzMia, Ladies and Gentlemen;
Happy to see you are getting successful in finding your other half.
Currently, I am working with a Bi-sexual male that is as busy as I am with his life, being a single Dad with an out of control bratty daughter. The 'mother' is the one who stirs up trouble and the daughter manifests it. This guy has had heart surgery and a former US Marine Sergeant, working two jobs to make ends meet and get this seemingly ungrateful daughter into college. Of course I got my mummy that I have to deal with but, we're getting on well together.
Once the daughter is in college; he will hopefully have time to spend on weekends to serve me at public functions. It will be refreshing to have a willing slave who will do the high protocols I seek.
I also have been giving support to a submissive woman, that is going through breast cancer treatments. The biggest fear is that minus a breast, people in the scene will treat her different or avoid her all together. She really doesn't have a dominant male in her life, married and a husband that really doesn't give a tinker. So, I'm a cheerleader per se. I've added a few more women on to be the cheer section.
In light of last year's Black Rose convention, which seemed to have been a success and much more positive then in years past; I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience. I've been to many BR conventions but, as sole care giver--I cannot totally loose myself over the weekend and relax for it to be cost effective.
I will consider going to the Master-slave convention in Washington, DC in July. I use it as a 'family reunion' more than the workshops. However, there is a good range of presenters that may peek interest in those who identify with Master/Mistress-slave dynamics. The M/s convention is more about 'relationshps' as local support and education groups usually cover the physical side, such as whip skills and such.
I continue to mentor. Several of my past students have come back as to introduce their special others to me. I am so happy when people find their happiness.
