Yep, my terrible sense of curiosity is cranking the gears again.... i love knowledge. i love learning new things, especially when they're facinating little details that are sometimes hidden in the most obscure of places. But what i love most is understanding. A side affect to this is... i'm always asking why.

The Gorean who trained me loved my curiosity, though it did get me in trouble every now and again. He used to tell me that i couldn't really learn something until i understood it. Good advice, and i've lived by it ever since. But anyway...

What i'd like to know, is why.

We all have our own experiences and things we've come across in this lifestyle. Little details, peices of history, an interesting philosophy or opinion, or even something that really struck a cord and put things into perspective for us... that's stayed with us ever since.

Who knows, maybe you'll learn something new right along with me! Tell me something interesting that you know, heard or believe, and then tell me why. Why is it the way that it is, or why has it stayed with you all this time.

"OMG you are fucking incredible and you are Mine."
For a very long time these words created inside of me a certain type of blind obedience, a need, a want.
I have had a difficult journey back from those words but through all of this I have learned one REALLY important fact
~~ Submission is strength, NOT weakness ~~
I had to get my self esteem back AND  get rid of self doubt.
Now the words "You are needed"  are empowering for me.  Why?  He sees my strength and not my weakness to prey upon.
Why did I write them like I did?  Because that is how they were written to me.  Dominance need not be domineering or arrogant.

Something very minor for others, but huge learning points for me.
Blessings

On humans and the morality of humanity:

We are beautiful. We are beautiful because it is an innate characteristic of humans to be such. We often, however, act as if we are not.   Master Fire

Always be open minded enough to learn new things and accept the differences in all of us, but not so open minded that everything you learn seeps back out.

i have a few actually, they come from a short story called The First Time She Kneels , but pertain overall to the same thing. "There is no act more dominant, and more dominating, than recieving a blowjob, just as there is no act more submissive than properly giving one."

It also speaks of the four types of women who give blowjobs and says, " the first type of woman gives head to avoid going all the way, the second because she thought her boyfriends wanted it. The third type of woman genuinely enjoys sucking cock, but she's never had the benefit of having specific instruction-after all, men are usually reluctant to give feedback, as if a blowjob is such a kind gift from a woman that to criticize would be to jeopardize future blowjobs." "There is a fourth kind of woman, however, and she is the one I most treasure. This is the woman for whom cocksucking is not a form of sex, but a form of worship. I am her God, merely by virtue of my having a hard the cock which I put in her face. There is no reciprocation expected, no spankings or punishments or attentions desired as a reward for a good blowjob. The blowjob, for her, is more than a reward in itself. It is her whole world. She lives to get down on her knees and lavish affection on a male organ, to service it until it fills her mouth with the pungent testimony to her place in the universe. There is no ego involved; she does not worry about whether she is a good cocksucker, for there is no conscious thought involved. Only overwhelming, undying love for cock, the kind of the love that will drive a woman deeper and deeper into submission, accepting every manner of instruction and criticism. Every shortcoming in her cocksucking skills becomes a spiritual lesson, and she learns with great eagerness."

"she accepts without thought the knowledge that she can never, ever, be a good enough cocksucker to satisfy her God, and the only way to aspire to such satisfactory status is to do it as often as possible, not just frequently, but constantly." the reason why i like this so much is because i'd like to be trained that way. it just sends a calling to me... and i'm not sure why.

i have one i just recently learned a couple nights ago when i couldn't sleep. The history channel was playing History of Sex. Aside from D/s (Domination/submission) being traced back to the egyptians, i found it incredibly facinating to learn that the dildo was first "invented" by ancient Greece! Now, whatever woman had the imagination to come up with that, i would love to meet!

i was under the impression that sex toys were more of a modern day thing, and that a woman WAY back in those days would never have considered doing such a thing. It made me realize that sexuality is more a part of human nature, and almost instinctual. i no longer feel any guilt for being the nympho or sex crazed fiend i've been described to be. Maybe our society has put too much weight on sex altogether and needs to re-evaluate that so more of us can really explore and enjoy our sexuality at earlier ages! (By earlier ages, i mean earlier than 24 like i was)
