Posters can only give advice on the information provided. I've seen plenty of advice from many posters turn out to be wrong when an OP decides to add info at a later time that should've been included to begin with. There's a big difference between that and having a serious attitude problem.

Okay, let me say this. ~stef comes across real harsh often. However, you will not find a better resource for "actual" & "factual" BDSM information. Stupid is clearly her squick button and I am confident that it is in fact stupid that peeves her and not ignorance. I have seen her post genuine real life information to people who needed it and not just a barge of links about stuff that has been hashed in the realm of what if, hence educating the ignorant. What i see a lot of is her patience being stretched to the limit with stupid people that argue the sky isn’t blue no matter how many people are saying "go look". I am not privy to ~stef's private life nor do I correspond with her. I do, however, read the forums and see what she posts is very valid. Which leads me to suspect that her time here is a casual interest to her real life practice of BDSM. I have of yet to see her make an unfounded post, she is ever diligent to back it up with information to validate it, or use her clue-by-four once her squick button has been pressed. IMO YMMV
