I haven't looked in the archive (I'll bet there is something there), and I won't due to laziness at the moment but if you can't find what you're looking for there, send me a message on the other side and I can send you a link for (what I think is) a custom fitter.

Have fun.

Good Morning
Any good xlarge  heavy duty dog cage would do! They are not tall enough to do anything but kneel in, and you can use a padlock aroung the door frame. They can be bought anywhere on line in pet products.

Agree with makinkycpl.  And xlarge dog cage should do great.  I have one that has a couple of features that are great.  First, it actually has 2 doors, one on the end and one on the wide portion of the cage.  Gives a little flexibility in positioning.  Second, the thing folds flat and can be stored under a bed in like a minute or two.  Oh - almost forgot, has a pullout plastic tray in the bottom too.

Now - this cage is actually for my large lab.  But, I'm 5'11" and I have gotten in it - um, for cleaning, yeah - and it fit well.  Petsmart, I think it was about $125 or $150 maybe.

Final word of advice.  Get some plastic zipties to secure the sides.  Most of the cages have walls that use pins or latches to secure the walls and a bratty sub could easily get out of it.

I have been thinking more about a large parrot cage, it seems more unusual than a dog one but cannot be hidden away

The one I have is a bit bigger - 48L x 30W x 32H.

I would think the problem with the parrot cage would be getting the sub into it since the doors aren't probably big enough for a human.  I do like the idea of something like a pedestal so that the cage is raised off the floor and the poor creature is put on display though!

Why not build one? A basic wooden one should be some what easy to make, or you could convert a amroir into one perhaps.

Ah, cage creativity, my favorite thing! The wire bottom of some cages can be quite painful for longer periods spent, that can be a good and bad thing cant it?
