[:)] Hi there, i am a fairly new slave (mere months) but have been 'hanging' around the BDSM rooms learning what i can off/on for the last three years .... my Master has been patient with me during all this time ..... my request is not unique by any means but i am very much in need of friendship with other female slaves close in age to myself (55 - yes, i am a speed limit, lol) ... my Master has guided me and i agree that it is what i am strongly in need of ... what am i in need of ?? knowledge, friendship, insight all from someone in my age range, someone i can talk to on a regular basis .... i have no real friends or girlfriends my age that are in the lifestyle and it's very isolating .... there are issues and such that come up between Master and i that He need not deal with yet i do, i know someone out there understands what i am going thru .... i look forward to hearing from you and ending this isolation ... [:D]

I highly recommend you look to your local community. It's not uncommon to find women your age. Master Fire

I agree with Master Fire. Best place to start is to seek supportive Lifestyle groups in your area. If there are none, and tho I don't know where in CA you live, exactly, but I would think there is something local out there, but IF there is truly nothing or you truly cannot work it out with your Master's help and guidance to get to some group mtgs/events, then check out some online groups...no, I'm not referring to chats on CM...tho they can sometimes be fun, they tend to be much too transient and not focused enough on actual Lifestyle issues for my taste. There are yahoo groups, for instance out there, that tend to be focused on a particular segment of the Lifestyle community or on a particular topic. There is likely something out there to suit your socialization needs. But first stop should be around your area. I've found the groups I've been involved with to be most helpful and supportive in many ways and I've met some truly wonderful people in the process. All the best, MNN

i really believe a great many submissive women put their lifestyle on hold while they are busy raising children and my personal experience has been that within munch groups the average age is well over 35 and 45 year old and older is commonplace. This friday i will turn 54 (well, that's what the calendar says but i'm sure it lies) and frankly it was my maturity that was an attractive factor to the wonderful, fabulous, excellent Dominant i have had the recent honor to serve. Hi, you have gotten a lot of good advice. The local community is a good place to start, or somewhere near to you to find face to face friendships. There are many experienced sub that might mentor you also, not to interfere with your Master but to talk and share from the slave's point of view. Many slave type ladies are busy with life in their 30's and early 40's. So we do see an emergence of ladies coming into the life at 45'ish for the first time. It is when they are freer of the kids and family obligations. Some can do both but many choose to wait till they have more time free. They are still moms but the time commitment is lessen. Read more of the posts, and see if you find a sub/slave who posts interests you and then you can contact them with questions and ask them to begin talking online with you also. The search feature at the top is an incredible way to get questions asked you never have to really ask in public as someone else already did. I often come here for comfort and guidance. Of course I have a huge R/t community I get information and advice from, R/t friends I talk to as well, but these forums are an incredible tool in the tool box if used right. Even though I'm 'young'.... I didn't have much luck finding female submissive friends online. Every time I write someone, they never respond. It's quite sad. Kind of makes me more empathetic to the HNG plight. But the good news, the few events I've attended have been filled with friendly people.
