When he first put the collar on me it went something like this... I flew in that afternoon. He and alandra picked me up. She drove while we had sex in the back of the van. We stopped for pizza on the way home. Then we went to a movie. When we got home from the movie about midnight, he told alandra and I to strip and come down to the dungeon. Hotel room at a leather conference one year after we met at a different event. she was on her knees as I took a pair of pliers and permanently wired on her necklace/collar. No big fancy ta-do, no proclamations of commitment. Just a "Do you accept?" followed by her, "Ma'am yes Ma'am!" Of course, as it often goes, that collar didn't work out. she didn't know that wearing silver 24/7 would bother her skin so much. We had to change it for white gold...and I haven't had a chance to hardwire that one on. Don't really feel the need to now. she's mine. It took almost a year before she was comfortable enough to petition me. I accepted her petition after about a week of thinking on it. she was collared the next month (Jan of 2006). Once she was collared, it took another year to hammer out the contract (if you read my book...that's our contract). We signed that completely in Jan 2007. Master Fire

i don't believe it needs to be flashy if it's 'right'. i have not yet received my collar, however Daddy told me that i was ready and i would receive it soon. [:D] i of course am very excited about this. Which got me thinking and wanted to hear about others experiences, thoughts and opions.

after having a private dinner, Daddy ask me "do you accept this collar as my daughter and wear it as my submissive?" while sitting in the chair. Okay kyra, why did I have this image in my head that your 'collaring' somehow had to include that evil BBQ brush that makes ownedgirlie all squicky? [;)] hehe I'm not yet collared and have no idea when or if that will happen. He asked me one day if I craved the collar and I told Him I craved the committment and meaning behind the collar. He could give me a dirty sock if it meant love and committment, although I would prefer something more in the line of metallic and shiny. [sm=mrpuffy.gif] I have often wondered about sub/slaves begging for a collar. I'm not sure I could ever do this (could be wrong though!) as I would see it as presumptuous on my part that He was ready and/or willing to make that committment. Am I the only one that struggles with that thought? [sm=confused.gif] Sorry makeme, didn't mean to hijack with that question.

[;)] hehe No, there was no SM during that. I actually can't remember when the first time he used the BBQ brush on me. I think it was over thanksgiving, around the same time he cut the swords into my thigh. But then he was only testing it on me, to see how I liked it. Since I got all glassy-eyed right away it was a good toy. Thanks for bringing it up and helping me squick owned eg Knight's kyra

Our collaring ceremony was a version of the Six Cord Ceremony associated with some Handfasting ceremonies. It was outside under a huge maple tree late at night with a single candle. We spoke a few words about the commitment we were making, then joined hands. Each of us had three cords (His-black, blue, purple. Mine--white, red, green), and as we spoke each vow, we'd wrap one cord around our hands (alternating between His and mine). With all six cords wrapped around our hands, He claimed me as His own. After the cords, we burried two coins under the roots of the tree together. There was no formal placing of a collar around my neck, but the lovely cords and small spade we used are 'on display' in our home. Six months after the collaring, we formalized things with 'nilla friends and family with a legal wedding. He carried His cords in His suit pocket, and I had my cords wrapped in my bouquet. No one really knew why they were there, but we did. We have the whole thing on video, but it's dark, and the light from the single candle we used kinda overpowers the details. Edited to add: After the collaring, we went inside and fucked like rabbits. Sorry, I hadda get that out because the whole post seemed kinda heavy.
