What is the best disclaimer you have read? Ever hear about those meds they have on tv only to hear about all the stuff that may happen if you take it?

You mean like that one about the toenail fungus? "Do you have ugly, thick or yellow toenails? Take this drug....side effects can range from headache, upset stomach to DEATH!!!!" Oh yeah.....where do I get in line to get that pill? At least they can bury me in an open casket and open toed shoes!!!!!

The best one I've gotten was on a curling iron I once had. It came with a tag attached that said "Do not use while SLEEPING!" And you know....they had to put that on there because some moron did.

Some people just deserve what they get.

With Lithium some  of the side effects is slurred speech, dizziness, diarrhea---i had that and so much more. I was more depressed when "on" the medication then when off...I spent so many hours in the bathroom and would not take that medication again even if my life depended on it!! I had a funny taste in my mouth, drowsiness, confusion, ringing in my ears, my arms and legs would move involuntarily....makes you wonder if it's worth taking the med or just not taking it....i felt worse when on it then when i wasn't.[&:]

the one that kills me every time I hear it on tv...something about bms, and "an urgent need to have them, and an inability to control them"!

the treatment definitely sounds worse than the cure.

Well .. I always have to chuckle at the erectile dysfunction ad that says 'seek medical attention if your erection lasts for more than 4 hours' ............

Wow! Wouldn't that be FUN! *EG*

A painkiller I was taking when I was nineteen for back pain warned that it occasionally caused mild to severe hallucinations.  Lovely stuff.  It was later recalled because it caused brain damage.  No joke.

Also I was on Reglan for a while to help me breastfeed (no one knows why it helps this, as it normally helps regulate your bowels, but it definitely does help).  It warned that mild allergic reaction was possible and if you experienced any adverse effects, specifically shakiness or trouble concentrating you should continue use, but consult your doctor.  Bullshit.  No way was I taking that again after I spent three sleepless nights jittering and grinding my teeth while I rocked sleeplessly back and forth on the couch.  It was more severe than any dosage of stackers and coffee.

Speaking of that. Swedish Chainsaw I actually had. "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP CHAIN WITH HANDS, FEET, MOUTH, OR TESTICLES."

then there's the label on the hair dryer.....DO NOT USE IN OR NEAR WATER".  What's really amusing, OK, in a sick way, is that for every label out there, there's actually someone who tried just what the label warns against!  (Sorry, my sense of humor is pretty dark sometimes...occupational hazard!)

LOL.  Hey at least that way you have something to hurl.  It had the same warning on my prenatal vitamins.  Yum yum!  Nothing makes morning sickness better than a mandatory prescription with that label.
