I don't know which are more frequent. I can tell you there are a great number of each. I personally find it easier to find male subs to female subs but that is because I'm a bisexual woman. A lesbian or a straight male probably have an easier time.
It is my personal experience that it is much easier to find male subs than female. i don't think it is because i am bisexual, i think it is more because, although, subs, they are, percentage wise, a large part straight, so females tend to seek out the masters, and males tend to see out the Mistresses.

It is not at the top of my list of kinks, though I have been known to dabble. It is also a very small percentage of the boys that contact me that mention being into it.
