So, Reagan could not do anything about that; it was the Dems that put those mutilated vets on the street. Okay, Reagan is innocent, after all as he stated, he has alot of bills that come across his desk in a single day and he can't read them all; - powerless, had to put his signature thereon, could not voice any objection; could not have vetoed any bill; could not have gone media blitz defending these guys; stopped the closing of VA hospitals; he didn't, as you suggest, could not.. However, by the same token, Clinton, on the other hand, could have stopped sanctions, stopped the Sudan thing, etc, etc.; The Dems offered up a bill, but he (Reagan) did not oppose them, just signed it, without a remark. Innocent, just like he was with the Contra affair, and Bush was out of the loop. Okay, I'll shut my keyboard down, the Bush and repulicans are right. Dam those Roosevelts,.... they started all this, ya know. I guess I should have listened more attentively to Rush Limbaugh, about Clinton. Now, when this next election comes due, and I get to cast my one meaningful vote, I'm voting republican, you can take that to the bank, really. I want them to finish what they started; I don't want to see any Dem fuck up that which the Bush has accomplished and plunging the country to a uncalculatable dept, what the reps are about. Even if Hillary is the one to head the Dem ship, because it's time for a woman to take the reins, like Goldie did; curtail spending, bring the budget into alignment and balance. You are right, so very right; I concede; have it your way. Silence is golden, and I'll not miss a golden opportunity.
