Sean Connery will always be Bond to me.

zammer007 -> RE: Who is your favourite James bond of alltime? (3/6/2007 8:01:49 PM)

Timothy Dalton was the most realistic ...but very short lived for a Bond, sadly.

I think the problem with Timothy Dalton WAS that he was the most realistic.  Nobody want realism in Bond.  They want this super smooth can do anything to anybody and not wrinkle his suit uber agent.  They took badass Bond and made him sensitive.  The result was a very short Bond career.

Pierce for me. I think the next Bond should be David James Elliot though, he would be a perfect one. Mind you I think he would be a perfect anything.

in this order - Connery, Brosnan, Moore and the newest one Craig

i never like On Her Majesty's Secret Service because of the idea Bond getting married ruined that ultra mystique of Bond and his skirt chasing ways. Bond should be never be married!

Connery, of course.  And then followed by Daniel Craig.  Of course the writing in the new Casino Royale was excellent, with the  many puns and twists on significant Bond lore, so it made Craig's job easier.

Of course, David Niven, Peter Sellers and Woody Allen all played fairly credible Bond characters even if in the very incredible 1967 "Casino Royal."

sambamanslilgirl, don't begrudge Commander Bond his bit of domestic bliss.  you know James was married only for a day, because the evil Blofeld kills Tracy Bond on her and James' wedding day.

If you REALLY want unBond dash, remember that he had a "common law" marriage with Tiffany Case who actually lived in the flat -- something no other Bond girl ever achieves.  He also has a son with "Kitty" in Japan, and he proves to be a lousy father (although in all fairness, it isn't clear if she ever tells James about this by-blow).

You all do know that one of the preeminent James Bond Fan magazines has the wonderful name "BONDAGE", don't you?

I didn't even know there were James Bond magazines. Such a sheltered life I lead.
