the drool/dribble is a huge turn-on... in fact, it is one of the primary reasons i like the bit gag even better than the ball gag. i find that neither does a terribly good job at actually muffling sound. yes, the ball gag will distort language but not volume - for that you need packing and such. thus the main reason for the gag is not sound reduction but increasing the feelings of helplessness and submission. not only is the gag a great tool for this, but the drool reinforces those feelings wonderfully. i also get a huge charge out of it - it can be fun trying to decide whether to play caretaker and dab you with a towel or taskmaster and chastise you for "making a mess" (which we both knew you'd make).

there is this gag at purple passion in nyc that I have my eye on....it has a mouth guard on the top and bottom and connected in the front center. It fits over the upper and lower teeth keeping them closed,very different from the gags that I usually use that spread the mouth open.I'll let you know how quiet it keeps the boy...he's a fiesty & loud fella...lol...

The best gag is when Harpo replaces the mirror and mimics Groucho perfectly in DUCK SOUP. That is... oh wait. You didn't mean that sort of gag at all, did you? Never mind... E.

Hi A/all, thought id add my two cents. The first time I was gagged while playing, well over a decade ago, made me chuckle to myself when i thought back. She was much more experienced then me. Anyway point being, reading about the drooling comments made me reflect on the panic in my mind, when i realized i was going to drool and could do nothing to stop it. OMG the embarassment, and i SO thought i was going to dissapoint her. The relief i felt when she whisperd in my ear how she made the gag extra tight to make sure i drooled. OH thank goodness i thought, she knows i cant help but drool. over the years i was amazed to find Dommes again and again getting turned on by making the sub drool. i more expected them to be disgusted by it, i STILL get so embarassed from it. Every now and again you find a Domme who does not like it and i completely understand that. I am big time into sensory depravation, as well as other things, (grin) and so i own a few gags. panties, ball gags and bit gags are hot looking, and arousing to wear, and humiliating, but do little to supress noise, and i am LOUD..lol. a while back i purchased a leather hood which had a mouth opening, so to compliment it, got a gag that was fairly large and made of soft stuffed leather. it just barely fits into my mouth without making me gag. has a large base? i guess youd call it that the straps come off of, it wraps well past the lips side to side, and is also much wider then the lips from top to bottom. this is the best noise suppression i have found. and i love that the slighest wrong move makes me gag a little bit while wearing it.:) hope this helps.

As much as I love gags, they tend to get in the way of the usefulness of my subbie's mouth... I'd still have to go with duct tape though. That satisfying "rip" sound if he forgot to shave his face that morning is sweet irony.

Well hey let's not ignore the obvious here DawnFire, i dont know of any sub who if given a choice between gag, or "using" his mouth, would pick gag. lol. That being said, duct tape is hot, im so twisted the smell of it turns me on thinking of it going over my mouth, but cant say it offers much in the way of noise reduction. I'll skip shaving next few days though and let you know the results of ripping it off myself ;)

I've used a large superbouncyball from the 50cent machines tied in place with a silk scarf before. It works in a pinch, the ball is just big enough to prohibit speech and unless you're knocking it down their throat with a baseball bat, near impossible to be swallowed. The silk scarf is comfortable and strong. [:D]

But I'm sure I'm not the only one that enjoys the whimpers and attempted pleas. In fact, anyone else notice that their sub is a lot noisier wearing a gag? My boy tends to be quiet - unless I gag him. Maybe it removes some disinclination to loud noises?

I'm told I'm TOO loud, when not gagged. My former Domme had children and it was hard for us to do anything even if they were alseep. When gagged, I must admit, I feel free to scream all I want. Maybe Im jus a freggin drama queen;)

I have been gagged in about every way you could imagine, and I think the key phrase in this post, is "for a long period". Many methods of gagging are very effective, but you have to question the safety aspect, when they are employed for longer time frames. Nothing can quite beat a good mouth stuffing, followed by several wraps of duct tape around the head, for effectiveness, but the longer this type of gag is worn, the more risk you take for possible problems, and the tape doesn't provive a quick release, as it takes a while to peel off. For me, the best long term, and still effective gag, is a large, thick sponge, placed over the open mouth, and pulled in with a cleave gag, doubling it up, and filling the mouth, but still staying away from the back of the throat. This can be covered with another piece of cloth , to help seal everything nice and tight. This type of gag allows some jaw movement, which can aid in some of the problems which may arise in long term gagging, and the sponge actually soaks up some of the saliva at the same time. If done properly, this is a very safe and effective gag, which can be worn for endless hours.
