I have and will defend my freedom of rights.  Enough said.

I find your take on mental disorders truly disheartening. I, for one, have OCD(Obessessive Compulsive Disorder). I take medication that assists me in controlling and modifying my condition. Depression is running rampant in this country, whether you choose to believe that or not. It's your choice.

I do agree that there are those that say that they have a mental disorder in order to get the medications. There are also those who allege rape when sex was consentual. Does that mean that rape does not exist?

Please don't misunderstand my post...I'm not angry, just sad that you would view those with an illness in this light.

Slight jumpthrough, but a shortie.

A guy could pose as a Woman, his ex-Woman and do this. Not put things in the profile, but respond to the rapist in her name. How would anyone know ?

But what gets me is who is stupid enough to do it ?

First of all, although we are anomymous to each other as long as we want to be, CM has a valid email on file referenced to each and every one of us. In what I like to call "CMail" we do give info, after getting comfortable with doing so, but last I checked, any profile updates are subject to approval.

Dealing with this site, I can see no way in which they have any culpability in this. I'm sure they would be happy to provide the information under these circumstances. I would.

Even faking an email address, getting a quick email from yahoo or something, they can still find you. There are IPs that are related to your internet connection, and therefore who pays for it. There is a record in Windows of internet, in fact all network connections. Even if you sit in a car outside of a place with wifi you can still be traced. It might be a bit harder, but it can be done.

Actually if I were on the CM staff I would advocate prosecuting Hsu ourselves, for fraud. I believe there is something about this in the TOS. Or if not, how about "Using this website in any way to cause harm to another". Whatever term of service one violates, it is at least breach of contract. Mostly webmasters warn or kick people off rather than sue, but in a way, they almost could. If there was a section, "I swear under penalties of perjury that I am stating my true name and ........" something like that.

The only other thing I can think of would be an IQ test. If anyone is stupid enough to do a rape scene, I mean a really real one, without face to face contact first, they are asking for trouble.

And I am actually a bit concerned that the perpertrator found a tool for his crime here.

Perhaps a bit of slightly different public exposure would be a good thing. We are obviously under some scrutiny now, but it all must keep going, the politically incorrect, the bitching about the governments, all of it. Because if not, they are shutting down free speech, and if they do that there is no reason to live in a "free" country any longer.

And that is that.

When you think about it, how many suggestions or instructions are given on this site for people to follow and use as ideas for play, punishment, scening etc.  No different then the instruction manuals on how to assasinate someone that there was so much press on years back.  It's still left up to the individual to use any of the information on the internet for good or to harm others.

Any site could have been used for this persons requests from okcupid to yahoo or myspace.  They would have easily found the tools there as well.  i like that collarme may be coming a little more out of the closet....

One thing i have noticed about the collarme profiles is that i think they are only held for approval if a photo is changed or uploaded.  i don't think collarme should be held responsible for the content as i would hope extremely questionable profiles are reported by viewing members.
